Daniel was sitting at the back of the classroom the same as usual, so Daniel thought when in the morning the teacher said, "Class settle down!" she paused and then continued, "We have a new student he is called Rhys Timberlin, Rhys come in would you?" She shouted towards the door, the boy stepped inside the classroom and the first time in 16 years had Daniel been interested anyone, he was interested in Rhys. Daniels’ Mother passed away when Daniel was 12 years old, when she passed away Daniel stopped eating for a while. No one was able to be there for him as his Father was so invested in his work. Daniel hated people, he hated to talk to them, to even look at them. For some reason Rhys was different, Rhys’ presence was drawn towards Daniel.

"Hello, my name is Rhys Timberlin I am 16 years old and I just transferred from 'Baldive Private Highschool."

"Thank you, Rhys, why don't you go sit down in that empty seat beside," she paused and her eyes scanned the room only to find that the only empty seat was beside Daniel she gave a hesitant reply and said, "Daniel, Daniel if you will please raise you hand." Daniel slowly raised his hand and Rhys walked towards him.

"Now that, that's over and done with shall we start the class!" the teacher exclaimed. When class was over she called over Daniel and Rhys to go to her desk.

"Daniel it seems that Rhys has become familiar with you so I was wondering if you would like to show him around the school? Now, if you don't want to do this, we completely understand and I will ask someone else to show him around the school."

Daniel took a while and thought, this is my first time interested in anyone it might not be bad, so he slowly said that it was okay. She definitely looked surprised but gave a huge smile in the end.

"Daniel you can go back to your seat and pack your things, Rhys stay here."

"Yes, Maam!"

"Rhys, Daniel is different from what you can see, he is quiet and hates general interactions, he has family matters so no matter what try to steer away from asking too much questions, Ok!" she said in a very hushed voice.

"Of course, I won't ask him anything," Rhys went back to his table to pack his things only to realize they were packed and Daniel was holding them. He was surprised but in the end gave a grin.

“Oh! Thanks.”

“No problem.”

“The teacher said you don’t talk much.”

"She did, did she now, what else did she say?"

"Umm..."

"It's fine I can kind of guess what she said but I want to hear them from you."

"Okay, she said that you have family matters and I mustn't question you on them and you don't talk much. Basically that's all she said."

"Hmm... I though she'd say more. Its not that you can't talk to me about my family matters it has been 4 years now so I'm fine. I just choose not to talk and when someone asks I just choose not to say a thing."

"Oh, umm right! Is it Ok if I ask, I am not pressuring you to say anything it's just that I want to know so..."

"Huhh, you want to know do you?" So Daniel told him the whole story and before they knew it, it was already night. They said goodbye to one another and parted ways. This was the first time in 4 years had Daniel ever had so much fun. Not even his Father could give him this. Daniel was glad that Rhys came to this school.
