CHAPTER 1

“Yuki can you come here for just a second?” my father calls Yeah just a moment!” I shout from my spot under the tree in front of my house.I got up and walked to the house setting my book down on the table then walking to the bathroom to wash my hands.

“YUKI WHAT’S TAKING YOU SO LONG?!” My father shouts from the kitchen again.

I frown while washing my hands. It’s his fault I never do anything without having my hands cleaned. As I finish up I frown some more while drying off my hands. When I finish I take off my sweater and carry it to the kitchen I grab my spare backpack with all my things in it and drop it at the door. I walk to the kitchen my father was at the sink I could hear him mumbling under his breath. I make a little noise and he swings around slapping me across the face. I fall into the china cabinet causing it to spill and shatter around me some of them breaking on me.

“ WHY? Why are you always doing this? Yelling at me isn’t enough? You have to hit me now to? I’ve had it! I’m leaving and never coming back!” I stand up blood on my arms and face a peice of china stuck in my side.

I run as if it was my last day on earth which it probably is I grab my backpack and run outside my tears streaming down my face before I got down the street. It’s still daylight so I’ll just run to my friends house.

Fate must have something in store for me as soon as I put one foot in the street a truck was barreling towards me. I stopped in the middle of that busy road. Was I begging to be killed? I try to move my legs they wouldn’t move. Why? I don’t want to die...NOT YET! As I’m struggling to move the truck is almost on top of me. This is it...I’m about to die.

“ HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!” Someone shouts.

I close my eyes afraid of that voice the loud scary voice.

Instead of the truck hitting me the force that hit me was soft but also strong. I cling to that form hoping against hope that it will save me.

“Hey are you okay?” I slowly pry my eyes open.

It was a man that saved me…

“ HEY! IS HE OKAY? TELL ME HE’S OKAY LUKA!” I hear another voice shouting. I look over...lukas shoulder to see a tall slender man on the phone in a suit with black hair and piercing almost white eyes. His hair was the shade of night but also the color of the moon when it hits the light a certain way.

He’s Beautiful…

I mentally slap myself. Stop he’s a male and you’re a male as well. Stop thinking about such dreams.

He hangs up his phone and walks over to where I am. I look down blushing slightly. Afraid to look him in the eyes. He really looks like a wealthy man. He has that feel to him he’s also got that intimidating feeling around him.

I’m scared.

I hide my face from the man. Luka had gotten up already leaving me alone on the ground.

Alone.

I feel my tears start again. Traitors. I rub my eyes viciously my tears causing my cuts to sting. Why do I have to be so weak? What’s wrong with me? Am I a coward? No...I’m not a coward. Am I embarrassed? Definitely. I open my eyes and look at him suddenly my eyesight gets fuzzy and I can’t see anymore. I get the feeling that i’m floating but I’m also sinking going farther from the light.
