Years ago, a wild white fox yokai, a demon with the ability to control mystical fire and bloodthirsty fighting skills, terrorized an ancient kingdom in Japan; he was a tall man, with long silver hair, with ears and fangs of a fox, his eyes were a cold shade of grey, carrying two katana blades on his waist and wearing a bloodstained, deep blue yukata. An order for the creature’s capture was set in place; it was to be killed by the ruler’s guards in order to protect the kingdom’s only princess and heir. When the creature was captured within the kingdom’s walls, the guards brought it before the ruler, and prepared to execute it; but just as the guards were about to kill it, the princess, who was only ten years at the time, stopped them and approached the creature. After a smile to him and an order to release the beast, the fox never once left her side; he became her companion until he could repay her back for her kindness towards him. Unfortunately, when the princess was fifteen years she was killed by a lord, who was invading their land; when the fox found her body, he was so overtaken with rage and sorrow that he went on a rampage, killing anyone and everyone that crossed his path. It took a group of monks to seal the beast into a white fox statue to save the rest of the world from his anger; however, during the process, several monks died, the surviving monks cast a charm on the statue so that when the princess, whom the fox cared for, was reincarnated and finds her way to the statue and break the seal, and the fox would only be released. Time passed, and the monks kept watch over the statue until they too were taken by old age. But the statue rested in its current place until the princess’s spirit returns and the fox can be with his mistress again…
