Prologue - A Cabin's Book

Prologue - A Cabin's Book

Feb 18, 2023

Inside a mansion on a training ground, three people are sparring, an older sister and his two brothers. The older sister was defending against the attacks of his brothers, and as time passed, 5 minutes... 8 minutes... and finally one of the brothers gave up, while the other was still full of energy, seemingly like he would be able to fight for hours more.

Unfortunately for him, his older sister finally started attacking, and he was defeated almost instantly.

"Sister... you're strong, you were able to defeat me instantly." He declared smiling, and no frustration can be seen in his expression because of his defeat but greed.

"I know, and let's stop for today. Father was calling me a few minutes ago, and you two can go out and play if you want." She left after saying those words.

He look at his brother, who had his eyes closed. "Let's play outside in the garden." He said to him enthusiastically.

His brother turned towards where his voice was. "Hmmm... okay." After pondering for a moment, he agreed.

He guided his brother outside to play in the garden and found a cabin there. They both went into the cabin, curious to see what was inside, and to his disappointment, it was empty except for the shelves, where one of them had a book.

He picked up the book from the empty shelf. "A Bright Day."

He read the title for his brother to hear, proceeded to turn to the first page, and began to read the book. He was immersed in the story of the book, which he originally thought was boring. He continued to read the book out loud. Various expressions can be seen on their faces, grief, happiness, shock and many more were seen on their faces as they went on reading.

Time passed very quickly as they were engrossed in the book, and just like that, almost an hour passed, and they now arrived at the last page of the book.

'Year 1, first day of Itshi, "Heaven's End" were the words heard before everything in the world was engulfed by white, and many unlucky people went blind, and some were fortuitous enough to avoid being blind. This event that caused demons to go extinct and people to go blind was marked in the history of humanity and will never be forgotten as it was made a special day and, like the words heard before everything was enveloped by white, it was called Heaven's End.'

He closed the book and looked at his brother. "That was a very exciting and fun story. There were demons fighting and stuff, right, brother?"

"Yeah, but it was also a sad story." His brother replied. "Nonetheless, it was still an exciting story filled with adventures and thank you for reading the book for me brother."

"Don't mind it, and it was fun reading it with you, now let's go out or well, miss lunch." He said as they went out of the cabin.

A few moments after they went out of the cabin. "Where have you two been?" "You were gone for almost an hour and missed lunch." They were met with a scolding from their sister.

"Sister we were at the cabin reading a book and we just finished reading it a few moments ago." He replied. "We forgot to check the time and missed lunch beacuse we were engrossed in reading the book."

"Cabin? What do you mean? There's no cabin in this garden." Her sister replied, confused.

"Huh?!" He was shocked, and he quickly turned around to look behind him, but "There really is... no cabin."

'Was it an illusion?' He was puzzled but quickly came to a conclusion. 'No, I still remember the words in the book so it must be real.' He then turned to his brother who was quiet since his sister appeared.

Sensing his gaze, his brother looked at him and nodded as if to agree with him. 'It was real, and my brother knows it too, but let's not think about this too hard for today. I have something else to worry about because tomorrow will be...'

"Tomorrow the 'Invocation' will happen and both of you will attend so make sure to prepare because this will only happen once every ten years." She said. "Now both of you come with me inside and eat, you guys must be hungry after that training after all."

"Yes, sister." "Okay!" They both replied and headed inside.

' 'Invocation' something that happens once every ten years where gods, angels, and spirits choose someone to either become a follower, soldier, apostle, or, very rarely, maybe even become their successors. During my sister's 'invocation' a god, an archangel, and a spirit queen appeared to make my sister their apostle, and that caused a lot of commotion in the world.'

'I also want to become like my sister after this 'Invocation' fearless and strong, and worthy of being a member of the Auxtine family.'He declared inside his mind, not knowing that this 'Invocation' would drastically change his life.

Author's Note:

- This is my first time writing this novel here, and my cover pages or thumbnails are still not made because I don't have a lot of time right now, and the title and description will be changed later on because I still don't know what to title it. The writing and description might be amateurish, but I hope you will enjoy this novel and thank you for reading.

[Year 1, Day 1] Demons went extinct as the world turned bright and many unlucky people went blind. The Protagonist was one of the unfortunate people who went blind and despite being blind he still continues to wield not a sword... but a bow?
A blind man who uses a bow this will be interesting.
