There's no drug that could compare to this feeling. I know that we'll have to get off stage and that our concert will end, but I want to preserve this feeling for a little longer,
Our band is made up of myself (Satoru), as the bassist, Miyuki our guitarist, Hiroto the drummer and our vocalist Shibusawa.
It's been about a year and a half since our band formed. It started out with just myself and one of my classmates from high school, he's the one who became our drummer. The two of us always wanted to start a band together so we decided to drop out and pursue that dream.
We were both pretty stupid and had no real idea of how anything would work. It was just us two guys and a dream. We hadn't a clue how people found members so we just posted ads around town and social media.
Months went by and we had no one responding to our posts. We didn't want to give up, but there was always that anxiety of never being able to find people to complete our band.
Though just as we were about to give up hope, two guys responded to us (that would be Miyuki and Shibusawa). My friend and I thought they knew each other, but it happened to be just a coincidence. That didn't really matter though, what did matter was that we had finally accomplished our first goal of many.
As much as we wanted to just jump into making music and performing concerts, we had to get to know each other first. That was probably the hardest part in the whole process. I had no idea if we'd even be a good match musically let alone getting along with each other in terms of personality.
It seemed like fate was smiling on us, as it turned out we all worked great with each other. Seeing everything come together honestly didn't feel real and it still doesn't. To know that just a little over a year from then we'd have our first concert. Everything still feels like a dream, but it's what I've been wanting ever since I dropped out.
I never thought that i'd be able to make my dreams a reality, yet here we were, performing on stage.
When I reflect on it, the past year has been the best one of my life so far.
I've met fantastic people and have even gotten myself a boyfriend, Miyuki. That was the last thing I expected to happen, but as we were getting to know each other it turned out that we had a lot of things in common.
We haven't been dating for very long, but I can see us lasting for quite a while, unless something were to happen.
Our last song was finishing up and I was brought out of my thoughts and went back to focusing on the crowd and band mates. I can tell we'll have a long future together.
