The day radiated a calming peace, the sound of the ocean waves crashing against the pristine golden-like sand and the shore boulders that separated from the others of a wide range, which was covered in seaweed and moss. The sun reflected its warm embrace from the bright, but clear blue oceans, while the cawing of flocking seagulls echoed through the skies. The breeze carried the sea's mist along the winds, causing the ocean to embrace a refreshing feel to anyone blessed with its presence. The salty taste caked the lips of the ones who passed through the ocean's mist and the smell of the ocean was dirty, fishy, and salty mixed all in one.
From the beds of a coral reef cliff, clouds circle in the distance, signaling a disturbance or a storm brewing up. As the clouds form a dark hue, lightning shoots out of them almost striking the ocean below it. The dark clouds encircle the sky rotating faster and the lightning shoots out quicker almost striking the water below. As the clouds spin and twist, the lightning strikes and roars in rage.
From the distance, the rotating, yet raging storm continued its wrathful display. Spreading within the sky like an electrified, yet fluffy blanket of black cotton. Suddenly within the middle of the rotating vortex, debris fell, as if like rain, crashing within the ocean and causing loud violent splashing of water.
Waves of the ocean violently crash together, as the debris crash into the sea. Within the debris, a man was barely hanging onto a plank of wood, his grip loosened, as he displayed unconsciousness while holding on to the piece of wood. Suddenly his grip loosened and the ocean swallowed him whole. The sea twisted and turned tossing the debris in the air as the waves violently crashed into one another.
The clouds still rotate, yet seem to slowly calm down. The color of the clouds turns from a sinister black to almost an old-age grey to a heavenly white, and the lightning that shot out of the clouds sparked and then disappeared, from the sea the water still twisted and turned, but not so violently. the debris slowly followed the flow of the ocean's wave, leading part of the debris to the shore of the coral reefs upon the coral cliffs.
Within the debris that found itself upon the coral beds of the coral reef cliffs, was the man out cold and barely breathing. His breaths were slow and heavy and he was soaked to the bone and red streams washed from his cuts. Yet his skin was dark as mud itself, there were black and blue marks all over him. The man's attire was torn from the storm and the sea's wrath and he was covered in seaweed. He did wear a shirt but it was torn and no longer fit him, while his pants were torn into shorts. The man had lost his boots in the chaos of the sea's storm. The man's hair though soaked was long and braided into locks. While the man seemed almost lifeless, he did have a pale tone and looked like he was 20 years of age with a neatly trimmed goatee.
As the man lay there lifeless and motionless, the ground beneath him was rough and hard like stone, but broke into a softer material that acted like sand but wasn't. The sounds of the ocean's waves rolled in crashing into the beds of the coral reef-like cliffs. Yet, the taste of the dirt and water that claimed his mouth and filled his lungs was salty and earthy, with a taste of fish. This jerked him back to the land of the living, hacking out water from the taste of the sea and throwing up whatever set in his mouth to give him such a bad taste. The man eye's widened in disgust catching the Bronze hue color of his eyes. He hacked and coughed wiping his tongue trying to get rid of the taste but only making it worse.
As the man finally realizes he was just making the foul taste stronger in his mouth he finally halts wiping off his tongue but smacks his lips and licks the air trying to get rid of the taste, and his face wrinkled up in disgust. The man looked around and saw he was on a piece of land that seemed to be made of coral, the soil was soft but also rough and rocky, the trees seemed to produce seaweed, while some plants were cattails and tall grass that limped over.
There were signs of animals and insects, such as dragonflies, gnats, and mosquitoes buzzing around the man, while small lizards and rodents scurried about away from him. The man shook off the effects of the storm as he announced, "Where the hell did you end up, Sel?" he put his hand up to his forehead and moaned in pain as he tried to remember what happened, but couldn't, like his mind was wiped or fuzzy as he got light-headed.
the story is about a man named Sel Writes that found himself in another world. he now tries to fit in by making a name for himself and tried to make a profit while making friends on the way.
