A man walked through the streets, it was cold on that October night. The shadows seemed to grow around him. He knew what he had done, and it was time for him to pay the price. He had extended his life longer than he was supposed to. And made a deal with the devil and that's when things come for him, things people dread. Things that know when it’s your time.
The man felt a cold chill and whipped around to see if anyone was behind him. He saw a girl walking on the other side of the street. She had a dark hoodie, a black skirt, and her hair hung down to her stomach. It wasn’t unusual for kids to be coming home this late, but. There was something wrong, something very, very wrong. He started to speed walk, the only thing that terrified the man was the girls footsteps her boots step slow but loud as if everywhere you can hear it. No matter how much corners he turned he still heard the, “Clack”, “Clack”, “Clack”.
The man ducked into a corner store to take a breath. He looked out the window with fear in his eyes.
“Can I help you sir?”, The store clark looked at the man perplexed.
He smiled, shook his head and bought some energy bars. He left feeling a little bit easier until he heard from behind him, “Clack”, “Clack”, “Clack”. He shivered and turned behind him and saw the girl. She slowly looked up at him, She had red eyes as if it were made of rubies. She smiled and pointed behind him.
“Crows!” She said with her smile.
The man smiled and looked behind him and saw a massive creature that looks like a crow. The girl broke out in laughter.
“Your time is up old man. Here thy words of a reaper you may never escape, if you try to run we will find you, if you hide we will hunt you!”The girls voice sounded cold and menacing.
As she finished the crow creature comped down on the man, and as he fell into the darkness, The girl said.
“Let the devil know, Vi sent you!” She smiled.
