Drop after drop came falling down from the sky, and moments later came the storm as lightning flashed.

Only the pitter patter of rain can be heard in this desolate street.

Lightning flashed a second time, only to light up the dark alley and show a silhouette.

Heavy breathing resounds as the blooded body take gulps of breathe. Wet marks near the face of the person, nobody knows whether it was due to the rain or tears.

A cry of help, but no one would answer. 

"H-hel-p m-e --" the body cried full of pain and grief.

"Mo-ther, Fat-her..." the voice stopped as the patter of footsteps and the fluttering of robes was heard.

"Do you want me to save you?" A cold and emotionless voice said.The newcomer crouched while speaking slowly and started to observe the blooded girl.

"Wh-o-?" The girl rasped out.

The newcomer did not answer intentionally or unintentionally. They tilted their head to the side as they look down upon the girl lying on the cold and wet pavement.

"Do you want me to save you?" They repeated, this time with a hint of impatience.

The girl new that it's not the time to dally as the person who has the ability to save themselves is getting impatient."I wa-nt t-to, pl-ease!" She plead with unwavering firmess.

A smirk emerged on the ever-changing facade of the mysterious person. "Alright." Only a word was uttered as they took out a small bottle containing glowing pills, they took one out and fed it to the desperate person lying on the ground.

She gulped down the pill with the assistance of the rain water, after which faint crackling sounds was heard in the quite night.

Pain! Pain!

It's too painful!

I cried as the pain was too unbearable. I can feel my body changing along with the cracking of my bones.

My eyes was blurry as I glanced over to the mysterious person. I saw their eyes glinting, they have an imperceptible smile plastered on their face.

I turned my gaze away to my side in a flurry. 

'No matter what, I will still thank this person for the grace they gave in saving me.'

I felt my mind blanking out after thinking so, as the pain made my mind want to enter the void of sleep.

I closed my eyes and fell in a deep painful slumber...

The sizzle of fire awoke me. As I glanced over I saw the silhouette of the person who saved me, my benefactor. She was stirring the food in the pot quietly. She looked over here as if she sensed my intense staring.

"Good. " As she said so, she gave me a bowl and spoon made of jade.

"Thank you." I whispered as I ate the congee with tesarian shrimps*. 

"Hm!" A surprised voice leaked from my mouth, the congee was well made especially since tesarian shrimps were used.

My benefactor raised her eyebrow at me, red flush of shame went from my neck to cheeks. " It's delicious!" I said in order to lessen my embarrassment. She said nothing and returned her attention back to the pot.

"So... Thank you very much for saving me last night. I would not be here without your grace, at all." After saying my gratitude I curtsied.

And once again, I was ignored.

"Sleep." She's back to the one word rule.

" Alright." I went back to bed as per ordered, after all I am still a patient.

Before I succumb to the sudden urge to sleep, I saw her preparing the table with food.
