The star in the sky shone, as a lone woman runs past the quiet village. After surveying her current surroundings, the woman lifted the tip of her until you could she her shimmering hazel-green eyes. A slight smile appeared on her lips, as if she knew something that was needed. Some of her long, messy, ombre hair peeked out from her hat, glowing in the moonlight. The woman was breathtaking beautiful, yet mischievous. Her eyes darted forwards, towards the castles above the hill, where lights had started flickering. Her expression darkening, she sighs, as if something has happened.
“Come soon, come quickly, before they arrive. Each night they appear, one after another, waiting, watching, not one out of place.”
She turns to look back, her expression shaded, as if she doesn’t know what else to say.
“Come little one, before they catch me too.”
Then as quick as she arrived, she leaves, leaving nothing of her trace but a small note. Again the lights flicker in the castle, until it gets brighter by each minute. The skyline brightens as if a new day, an you hear humming. Suddenly, the sound gets louder and louder, chanting.
There were many, now gone,
Light, light soon begone
Whispering shadows, creeping
Fading light, leaping
We call on you, to help us all
The note bursts into flame, leaving everything. As the sun starts to rise, the world fades, leaving with nothing but memories that can never be told true.
