Emerson looked at the lifeless body of his friend Prat. Mangled beyond belief, it was hard for him to even think that it was his friend at all. Just a few moments earlier, he heard Prat arguing with Lord Frey, his father, about the health of one of the maids in the house. He had no idea that a simple argument, would lead to the death of his friend.
Emerson began to weep uncontrollably on the ground. The rage inside of him is slowing brewing to a boiling point. He looks up at the sky, and yells. He keeps yelling until his voice is no more. At this point, several maids had come outside to see what the yelling was about. When they see the mangled body on the ground, they gasp. Some of them are in shock, the others begin to cry. When Emerson gets a grip on reality, he looks around and sees the crowd slowly forming. He beckons to some of the maids to come closer and help him move the body.
When the dead body of Prat is safely moved inside the mansion, Emerson is lost in thought. He realizes that his family are the ones responsible for the murder. When a few more hours pass, Emerson goes into his room. He starts to form a plan, which would lead him down a path that none would dare walk. He looks through his window, and stares into the dark sky. "From now on, no one will dare get in my way, not even my own family.", Emerson thinks to himself. Realizing what he has to do, he begins to work in his room, isolated from the world he so desperately needs.
