People normally call her weird but basically she's more of an introverted person. She has no friends, which makes her very lonely. The friend she once had betrayed her.

She buried all her sorrows in her heart and whatever people say, she is always indifferent about it. She stopped caring about what people say about her and how they feel about her. That made her even more strange and more discreet. She hated attention and popularity. Her style of dressing was very simple: a hoodie and a pair of baggy trousers with sneakers, mostly in the colour black.

Among all of her personalities, she's also a nerd. Overall, she's pretty and of good character. She only had one person who was very close to her, not exactly a friend, more of a sibling-an older one, who is about five years older than her.

So gugs, this is just a review of Tanny's life. We will gradually know more about her.

CHAPTER ONE.

TANNY'S POV

I am just a girl, an ordinary girl, nothing special, boring, nerdy, weird girl. I find everything so weird and troublesome, especially being a girl. Having to experience too many weird feelings, sometimes I feel like switching places with the opposite sex. I have always wondered what it would be like to be a boy.

Do they experience different mood swings at the same time? Do they have a hard time dealing with their lifestyle? All these thoughts kept buzzing in my head until my mum called me down for dinner.

AT THE DINING TABLE

I sat down beside my older brother who was being so annoying. His girlfriend had come to visit, so guess what? She's staying for dinner. I never understand the concept of all these relationship stuff. I don't believe in any of it, or maybe I have never experienced it.

"Sweetie, why are you not eating your food?" my mother said, which jolted me back to reality. "Uhm, mum, I'm actually not hungry." She touched my forehead to check if I had a temperature. She removed her hand and asked, "Do you have anything on your mind?"

Of course I always do, in fact, thousands of thoughts running in my mind aimlessly every minute. So my mind is basically a workaholic. I shook my head in response, and she kept quiet and continued her meal.

Suddenly my brother spoke up. "Why are you like this?" "Like what? How do you mean?" I answered sharply. "About everything, your ways of life are too different from others." "Are you trying to say I am not normal?" "Yes! You are abnormal!" he said in a fit of rage, but he regretted it immediately those words came out of his mouth. I was in shock-not only me but my mum and his girlfriend. I felt so wronged. I don't care about what people think of me generally, but I did this time, and that was because this person in particular was my beloved brother.

"YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT ME!!!" I screamed, stood up from my seat and ran upstairs, slamming my room door.

TWO DAYS LATER

After what happened at the dining table about two nights ago, I haven't left my room. Thanks to my snack storage, which I have been living on, but that will soon change because I'm out of snacks and it leaves me no choice but to come out of my room. I hated this situation. I didn't want to face anyone right now and if I don't, I will definitely starve to death. So I swallowed my pride and came out of my shell. I went downstairs straight to the kitchen only to find HIM there.

I got upset and was about to turn back when he pulled me into his arms and I was caught off guard. For a second, my mind went blank. When I finally realized, I pushed him with all my might and he stumbled backwards. I got scared thinking he would hit his head on the wall. Instead, he smiled at me and said, "You are quite strong sis."

I scoffed, "I guess only abnormals have the power."

He lowered his gaze and silence took over. After a few minutes, he broke the silence.

"Are you hungry? You haven't been out of your room for the past two days."

"Aren't you gonna talk about what happened?" I said annoyingly.

He sighed, "What will I say right now that will make you happy? Sometimes silence is just the best remedy."

"But I want to talk about it," I uttered. He was surprised, so was I. He then laughed.

"You've never been willing to talk about anything."

I said nothing, just stared at him.

"Let's talk," he said, and his demeanor was serious.

"Why did you say that to me? Do you know how much you hurt me?" I said, tears building in my eyes.

"Look Tanny, I am sorry if my words caused you any pain whatsoever. I was caught up in some shitty stuff and I got so frustrated that I let it out on you. You're not abnormal. You're the best little sissy one could ever have. So will you forgive this dude or spank him?"

I laughed and was moved uncontrollably by his words because I saw the sincerity in his eyes. Also, if I didn't let go of my grudge against him, I might as well starve to death-not because I don't know how to cook, but because he's pretty much better than me at it.

"I won't let you off the hook so easily. You owe me," I said.

"Don't worry. I am ready to do anything to make up for the offense."

We then cooked, played, and talked throughout the rest of the day. I retired to my bed hoping tomorrow would be better, free of troubles.

LUCINDA'S POV

I remembered giving birth to my first child, Macklin, shortly after I turned nineteen. It was a tug of war. I was not ready to be a mother, neither was Evan (their father), but I couldn't bring myself to abort the baby. Evan was supportive despite the unwillingness to be a father. He felt he had a responsibility to cater for.

Evan was the son of a very wealthy businessman. He did not rely on that; he worked very hard for his name, even while he was still in the university. He was very successful, so money became the least of our problems. We lived a very comfortable life and he was there for me all the time. I felt being a teenage mom wasn't bad after all.

Two years later, I gave birth to a beautiful girl. I named her Tanny-it was actually a nickname, but the full name is Tiana. She was so cute and very cheeky, pretty and healthy. She had her father's eyes.

When Tanny was six months old, Evan started behaving strangely. He would come back home very late at night, and finally when I couldn't take it any longer, I filed for a divorce. He wasn't bothered at all, and I couldn't be bothered either. He didn't even bother about the custody of our children; he left everything to me. That's when reality dawned on me.

I took my children and we left the country to Andorra. It was the only country I could think of at that moment. It was small but free of troubles from the media and the rest of them. Then I poured all my energy into modeling and fashion designing, which I'm doing very well in.

Tanny grew up to become a very pretty young lady, but as time went on she gradually changed her attitude. I can't seem to pin down the problem with her. I am so worried about her, and I really felt bad after the fight between her and Macklin. I never had the time to address the issue, but I was sure of one thing: both of them would resolve it before I got back from my trip to Neville.

I decided it's time to move to Neville in order to free up my stress of going back and forth, and also to have time for my children. I haven't told them yet, and I know it won't be easy for them either, but that's the best thing to do.

TANNY'S POV

I woke up at 7:15am on a Monday morning. I sat on my bed groggily, stretched, and picked my phone from the drawer beside my bed. I checked the time and immediately jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom. Oh my God! I was late for school!

---

FEW MINUTES LATER

I hurried downstairs and went to the kitchen. I saw Macklin making breakfast.

"Morning sleepyhead," he said while frying eggs. I picked a bottle of milk from the fridge and downed everything in it. Macklin raised an eyebrow.

"You're quite thirsty. Did you run a marathon in your dreams?"

"Can you stop with all your teasers? You left me to sleep and you're aware of my test this morning."

He smiled. "Of course I am, but I wanted you to be useful in a responsible way."

"But it is not right," I pouted.

"What's not right about it?"

"I could have missed my CA if I had woken up later than this."

He patted my head and urged me to finish my breakfast so that he could drop me off at school before heading his way.

AT SCHOOL

All students in the science department were not finding the CA funny at all. The CA was very tricky and lengthy. This test was to prepare them for their upcoming external exams. The biology teacher, Mr. Rowland, was very strict when it came to education. He talked less, except when he lectured. His teachings were very interesting, which made the students like his subject, although they were not very fond of him.
The seats were arranged in such a way that it would be very difficult for the students to cheat. The test lasted for two hours. After the C.A, all students submitted their test scripts and they left the hall.
Stacey, Tanny's friend hurried to Tanny while she was about to leave, "Hey girl, what's up with ya", "I am good and you ? Stacey frowns her face, " How do you expect me to be good when I literally wrote the last word in my brain". Tanny laughs and said "Indeed but you still have so much to say". "Well that's not the point, I mean Mr Rowland is too strict, look at the questions, it felt like he scraped them out of an encyclopedia. "You know it's for the purpose of our external exams, SENIORS remember? Tanny replied
"You're literally talking like Mr Rowland". Both of them laughed and chatted as they made their way to the cafeteria.

AT THE CAFETERIA
Tanny looked for a suitable spot for her and Stacey to sit down while Stacey went to get their food. As she was waiting for Stacy, a girl suddenly approached her claiming that the seat was hers. Tanny ignored her at first but she started to throw tantrums which made Tanny very upset.
"Who do you think you are in this school? You're just a pathetic loser and weirdo"
The girl said, "And who are you to decide that" Tanny replied sharply.

" I will show you who I am" the girl raised her hand to slap Tanny, then Tanny held her hand and twisted it to the back which was very painful "Ahhhhhh,my wrist!" The girl cried out in agony.
Stacy was close to where the commotion was happening, so she quickly hurried her footsteps, to her surprise she saw her friend dealing with Charlotte."Tanny ! Let her go! She is not worthy of your time". Stacy said, removing tanny's hands away from Charlotte's wrist. Tanny reluctantly withdrew and Charlotte stumbled back a bit. She held her wrist as it was hurting and she glared at Tanny "You evil witch, you haven't seen me in action, I will make your life miserable and unbearable, mark my words, I AM COMING FOR YOU!"

Stacy and Tanny watched as she leaves with her circle of friends. "You could have gotten into trouble, what's wrong with you? Always learn to control your anger, everyday won't be lucky as today was for you" Stacy scolded. Tanny looked at her friend who was visibly upset about what just happened and felt remorse, "I am sorry Stace, I didn't mean to upset you I mean that girl was being a bi**h . "Now you've started cursing" Stacy hinted.
Tanny placed her hands on her face and groaned.
"Arrghh, I don't know what's wrong with me today, okay? It feels like something is about to happen".
"Like what exactly" Stacy asked.
"I don't know, I am not sure exactly, it feels like my life will take a new turn or something".
"Look sweetie you're just over thinking, coupled with our test, it's very normal to be in a tensed mood".
Stacy assured her, "Look we are gonna be late for culinary".

Stacy dragged Tanny who was still feeling a little bit disturbed, although she felt better after Stacy spoke to her.

They left the cafeteria and went to class.
