"You just don’t get it," the clown sang as he circled around me and smacked my knee with a silver bat – cruuuuuuuuunch, "Just don’t get it," He kneels next to me and grabs a fistful of my hair, “Just don’t get it!” “Please,” I pledged as hot tears rolled down my face, “P-please stop.” “Yoo-hoo! We’re just getting started,” The clown smirked as he threw me down to the dirt. The clown bobbed his head side-to-side as he hummed all the way to the car.
My eyes widen. Was this a chance for me to escape? I tried getting up, but failed to budge. “Damn it,” my voice trembled. I put my hands down to the ground, scooting myself away inch by inch. I flipped over, put my broken leg in the air, and crawled away as fast as I can.
“Ana,” I heard the clown call out from a far, “Ana Banana,” He sang; chills went down my body. My hands began to tremble, I don’t think I can keep this up. “Ana,” He yelled once again. My hand collapse under me. Oh, fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck. I dig my nails into the ground and pulled myself to a tree.
“Peek-a-boo,” I heard a small whisper behind me. I turned to the side; the clown spilled something on me. It didn’t take long to recognize the smell. Gasoline. “I win, I win,” The clown laughed as he jumped up and tapped his feet in midair, “I knew I would!” “You won,” My voice cracked, “How about best 2 out of 3?” The clown laughed hysterically and pulled out matches from his pocket, “If you guess what this smells like,” he lights a match, “You win!” In the blink of an eye, he tosses it to my direction.
I watched in horrible as the fire dances my way. “Smell it?” The clown laughed as he danced in circles. The fire began cooking my skin. Hot. Hot. Too hot. I grabbed my hands and began pulling the burnt skin off.
My eyes jarred open; I was in my room. My hand trembled as I brought them close to my face, checking to see if I have any marks of any sorts. I walk to the restroom to wash my face. As I turned on the lights, I saw it in red lipstick: SMELL IT? My heart began to rush, as my smoke alarm goes off.
