My name is Jamie Scottingham, daughter of Anthony and Jennifer Scottingham. When I was 15 years old, I was in my limo with my favorite driver, Richard. We were on our way back to the mansion. All of a sudden, the limo had blown up to bits, right in the middle of the street. Richard had died with a major loss of blood. I, on the other hand, had lost both of my legs, my left arm and an eye. Like any normal person in that situation, I screamed and cried my heart out. It was horrible. Mother and father had payed doctors and mechanics to give me robotic parts instead plastic prosthetic. They fixed my eye up but it came with a price......
A few weeks later, it was revealed that someone had planted a bomb underneath the limo. I was supposed to die that day but Richard payed my death tole for me. I've felt so guilty ever since that day. Its been 3 unforgivable years since that terrible nightmare. Sometimes, I try to end my life but someone is always there to stop me. My parents take me to psychiatrist but none of them are able to understand me. I trap myself in my room. I make sure there is no light so this way, I could a clear image of how my life is inside and outside my head.

Today was the rarest of days. I heard a knock on my door, for the first time in a while. "Jamie?" my oldest brother, Lucas had called. I opened the door slightly. "What is?" I asked quietly. "There is a guest here." He gave me a smile. I gave him a confused look. "Why would you ask me to come out?" I muttered. He held my hand. "I haven't talked to you in years. We could at least have a conversation. Please. Do it for me." He begged. I sighed. "Let me get changed. After this, leave me alone. I don't plan on having a good time with people." I said coldly. I shut the door before he could reply.Within minuted, I was wearing a black and red stripped button down shirt and some ripped jeans. I put on some timberlands and slipped some sunglasses on my eyes. I didn't want anyone staring at me in a strange way. I then slipped on some balck gloves. You all know why.
I came back out. "Let's get this over with." I said in a harsh tone. I sat on the couch with a kind smile. There were 2 little kids running around, and a guy around my other brother, Clovis', age. Clovis was sitting on the couch and gave me a cold stare. "So you've decided to come out." He said, avoiding eye contact. I wanted to run back to my room and slam the door but like Lucas said, we had a guest. " And hello to you too brother." I continued to smile. I stuck my hand out to the stranger. "My name is Jamie. It's nice to meet you." He shook my hand and returned the smile with one of his own. "My name is Robin. The little boy is Blake and the girl is Fiona. They're twins." The kids stopped playing and waved to me.
I turned back to Robin. His eyes didn't match his facial expression. They seemed to be..... examining me. It was like he could see right through me. It was little scary. I decided to make small talk, just to make him stop. "So, are you dating Clovis?" They blushed. "No!" They said in sync. "Oh. Then you and Lucas?" Lucas turned red. "W-Wrong." He stuttered. "Then it must mean that Clovis and Lucas are having a secret relationship?" I teased. "We are brothers!" Clovis yelled. "That's why it would be a secret." I winked. Robin and I laughed. My plan had worked, I thought. Suddenly, Blake had pointed to my sunglasses. "Why are you wearing those in the house?" he asked. I gave him a nervous chuckle. " N-No reason." I replied. Out of nowhere, Lucas ended up behind me.
"Oh don't be shy! Show them your beautiful eyes!" Suddenly he took of my sunglasses, revealing my eye color. I had red on my right eye and brown on my left. Everyone stared. I wanted to cry and slap Lucas but I would save that one for later. "I...I guess you found out my secret then." I said quietly. I cover up my fear with a smile. "Your eyes have different colors...." Robin says slowly. I nodded my head. I knew what he would say. He would call me a freak like everyone else. "They look soo cool!" He beamed. "O-Oh.... Thank you." Robin continued to shower me wit compliments.
All of a sudden, the twins were near my hands and they pulled my gloves off, revealing my hands. My throat felt tight. I felt scared. "U-U-Um... I h-have to go." I stood up and ran back to my room. Why exactly did I agree to come out of my room? I sat on the floor and cried. I didn't want to leave my room. Never again.
