Worlds Apart

A Turn of Events

A Turn of Events

Dec 06, 2018

Loud cheers and bright light fills his entire being. He worked countless hours to reach the top, the towering trophy as clear proof with his name, 'Kiran' imprinted boldly onto it.

Kiran smiled up on stage to the largest actor award in america, the Oscars. He was 23 this year with stylized curled blonde hair with his infamous clear light blue eyes which appeared infinite. The face people fell in love with was soft, strong jaws and straight nose. People could only explain it as God-like.

Kiran wasn't all face though. He's been acting since he was young. His parents set him up for the best education possible and opened many opportunities for him, hoping for him to be the perfect accomplished son. He acted on Broadway, became an iconic figure from starring on a Disney show 10 years ago. This award wasn't at all fabricated, it was real.

Standing next to him on the enormous stage was his dear friend, Leon. The crowd was filled with support and cries. It was in that moment, Kiran felt he accomplished whatever he worked for but, a thought passed, what's next?

What comes after reaching the pinnacle?

Then, like the world answering his question. He felt the light flicker, the stage shaking and then it was dark out for him.

It happened so suddenly. Kiran's world turned dark. The stage lights above fell on top of him. The world around him shrieked.

And that was it. All his hard work disappeared so quickly as it came. Life was cruel indeed.

Or that was what he thought.

Kiran found himself, almost immediately, in deep silence. He thought he was dead but he heard birds, horses, and the wind blew against his cheeks. Took him a moment to realize he can open his eyes. His blue eyes met the open sky.

Kiran concluded, he wasn't in any sort of hospital nor still at the stage. He was randomly placed outside. In the middle of the woods in fact. Kiran searched the area around him, finding no sign of other human beings. He got up and checked all his limbs. His body was not injured in the slightest, nothing broken. He let out a breathe he wasn't aware he was holding.

So he was fine but placed in an unknown situation. Had someone kidnapped him? You can't blame him from thinking the worst. His head was still hazy from waking up and then finding himself in unknown territory. His mind led him to other crazy possibilities.

Having no progress in panicking. Kiran got up and walked into the lush forest.

I hope I don't die.

After hours of walking, Kiran was about to give up and take a rest. His first human was laying on the ground and bleeding...

Kiran was cautious but approached the man. His face was stern and was prepared not to show weakness if the situation went out of his hands. He had hoped he could help the man, but he barely had any medical experience and especially a wound as deep as this. The blood the leaking out of the man's stomach.

With so little time, Kiran took off his suit and tie. He wrapped it tightly around the man's stomach to stop the bleeding.

The man was unconscious with multiple scars on his face. He looked especially ferocious like the king of the jungle but right now, he was simply an injured animal, in pain. Kiran couldn't leave him be, besides, the man could be his only hope in finding out where he was. He, himself needed people.

After tying, the blood soaked up the previous white expensive suit into a crimson dark red. Kiran sighed, it costed $100,000... But, on the bright side, the man was no longer in drastic condition. His breathing was even and his conscience was coming back.

The man opened his pitch black eyes to come across the most exotic man ever. The man looked young, the softest silky milk skin, the bright blonde hair like the sun and eyes that contained infinite beauty. Never in his life had he met such a beauty with such strange traits. He stayed in place, not knowing what to do.

Usually he would react quick and protect all his viral organs, that was what he had trained for since birth, but the blue eyes told him everything, it was strange. It was something he could trust. He was an assassin, how can he forget all that he was taught.

Kiran was surprised to notice his patient had awaken.

"Hello, my name is Kiran." His voice was exquisite and penetrated the man's soul.

There was a brief pause before the man introduced himself, "I'm Hong Wei." Hong Wei's gaze never left Kiran's body. He noticed his wounds have been wrapped nicely and was in his rest mode. He felt no danger from Kiran and it felt nice for a change.

“What happened to you?” Kiran's eye landed on Hong Wei's wound and Hong Wei knew what he was questioning.

Although Hong Wei wasn't obligated to tell this strange beautiful man but he still did. So it went like this, he was sent on a mission to kill the prime minister. Turned out the man he killed was the decoy, they were expecting him. Hong Wei was on the run, got shot by an arrow but managed to escape.

Even thought Hong Wei didn't mention, from the context, Kiran had concluded the man in front of him was an assassin. What was the use of him getting the best male acting award if he let it show his fear? Of course, his throat went dry in nervousness but he kept his face cool and collected.

Kiran was especially surprised by the fact of assassins in the world. It was then the subject of time period came up that Kiran noticed the strange clothing, consisting of loose pants, black robes, and tight bandages circling around his waist and the hems of his pants and Hong Wei...sounded like a foreign name.

How could he have left out such an important detail??

He may have just been sent in the past...of Ancient China.
