Blood. There was blood everywhere. And it all was mine. I was drowning in a pool of my own blood.
I couldn't call for help or move. I was dying. Slower than ever. Every time I closed my eyes I was in the same position.
It felt like hours. I closed my eyes again and hoped it was all a dream. Just a messed up dream.
I opened my eyes again only this time I was no longer in a pool of blood.
I was in a warm comfortable bed.
"This doesn't looks like my room at all."
I heard voices coming from outside the room. "Lord save the queen!"
I pushed myself up. "My queen!" The woman who just came in dropped to her knees suddenly.
"What? What are you doing?"
I got out of the bed and my feet felt wobbly like I hadn't walked in ages.
I stumbled. What am I wearing? What is this horrible nightgown?
"Are you well? My queen are you well?"
Why does she keep calling me her queen? Hold on I recognize this woman but I don't know from where.
"I need a mirror." I jumped up and screamed.
I wasn't me. These arms and these legs didn't belong to me.
This body and this face was of a television character!
I didn't even like the show. I only watched it when my dads did.
I'm dreaming. I'm dreaming. "Are you okay my queen?"
"Stop calling me that!"
"Forgive me but you instructed us to call you that despite you not being married to the king yet."
This woman. I knew she looked familiar.
She's Head Of The Servants, Rupali.
And I am... The villain Queen Adrienne Amara Mabuz.
I have to wake up somehow. I sometimes have strange dreams like this.
I pinched myself and even slapped myself. "Why am I not waking up?"
"I need assistance immediately! She has woken up!"
In seconds I was surrounded by women dresses in red and blue outfits they knelt on before me. "Bless the queen!"
So this is not a dream?
"We are glad you finally have awaken my queen. Three agonizing days have already passed since your slumber."
"Three days?"
"Yes my queen. Ever since you met with your fiancee you fell in a long sleep. Some thought he had poisoned you. We are glad you have woken up."
It I remember correctly. When Adrienne meets with her fiancee, the king he poisons her and she supposedly dies. Him and his lover get their happily ever after. Adrienne caused many misfortunes for them at this point.
I don't remember correctly what happens after. I never paid too much attention.
Maybe I should just play along then I'll wake up. "I'll run you a bath my lady."
And yes the show is back in the time. No cellphones or televisions. How will I ever survive?
Just when I had entered the warm bath I heard shouting. "You can't go in! The queen is having her bath!"
"Are you really saying that to me?"
I got startled by the voice. The curtains were pulled open.
It was the king himself. The one who Adrienne was enemies with not because she pined for him but because she wanted his crown for herself.
"Leave us."
"But my king..."
He approached me still in the bathtub and wrapped his arms around me. "I'm so glad you're awake. It's been so long."
I was still frozen that I didn't notice when the maids assisting in my bath had also left.
"You witch. How? How huh? How are you still alive?"
I think the best course of action here is to feign ignorance. "I just woke up. Was I supposed to be dead?"
"Still got your attitude after three days? Why? Why didn't you just die?"
"You wanted me to die? Why would you want that? They told me you're supposed to be my husband."
"What? What filthy act is this now woman?!"
Silence. "Stop it! Haven't you tortured me and Ellen enough? What more do you want?"
I don't know how I'm supposed to answer. "Answer me." He gripped on my shoulders tightly.
I was suddenly very aware that I was naked in this bath and this man was dangerously close. He hated the woman I was right now anything could happen.
"Pfft. You think I'd ever touch you in that way? Don't flatter yourself. You're not half the woman Ellen is."
"Then stop touching me."
"I want you to get out of my life. That's what I want after everything you've done to me. Don't you think I deserve that?"
"I don't know what you're talking about. My brain is foggy. I can barely remember my own name."
"Lies!" He reached for my throat but stopped himself.
"You're not worth dying by hands."
You already tried to kill this woman. He stepped back but somehow slipped and fell into the bath. Yep. This is definitely a TV show.
I jumped up as the quickest thing I could think off to be as far away from him.
The curtains opened again this time it was the Ellen he was talking about.
She gasped. "Anwar!"
I got out of the bath and got a robe to wear.
"Trying to seduce him now? Aren't you satisfied with the damages you've caused woman?!"
I don't know what to say because I won't wake up. "Anwar! What were you doing in the same tub with her?"
I pretended to faint not after letting out a scream to alert the maids and guards.
"My queen! " I heard them come in and rush me to the bed.
"My king... Duchess I'll have to ask you both to leave immediately. The doctor is coming. And so is your future father in law my king."
That'd mean Adrienne's father. Oh no.
I must have dosed off because when I woke up a scary man was sitting next to me. "Adrienne my daughter. You're up."
"Father?"
"You do not recognize me? I feared this."
What is he... Oh. I remember my dads being crazy about this.
Adrienne's father had made her consume every poison possible to insure she never died.
And she was given the best herbs for fertility once she became of age.
The only side effect she'd get was losing small ounces of her memories.
Like forgetting where she placed something. The memory loss worsened if she consumed strong poison.
"The doctor said you might not remember much."
"My brain is all foggy."
"Don't worry. It'll be better. It's a possibility you might not retrieve your memories. But we have the best medicine in the world at your service. Nothing on this earth is going to stop your wedding to the king."
A young woman wakes up suddenly in the world of a TV show she didn't like much. She vows to stay alive and make sure she never goes back home and decides to change her villainess character for the better.
