(The following series is written in a scripted format. Like a play or a film script. You can read the first 48 pages in comic form if you wish right here on Tapas under the name "ZERØES (Discontinued)." Enjoy.)
ZEUS (early 50's) stands in a heroic pose with his first outstretched. He smiles brilliantly to unseen crowd.
ZEUS: Never let anyone tell you "you're weak!" ESPECIALLY YOURSELF!
The footage cuts. A grizzled NEWS ANCHOR (70's) stares somberly forward.
NEWS ANCHOR: Thirty years ago, today, Zeus passed away... We remember his bravery, his sacrifice, and the many lives he touched.
His image is replaced with MISSFIRE (29). A vividly red-skinned young woman whose hair is literally fire.
MISSFIRE: Zeus was my inspiration. When I was a little girl, I read of the great thing he did. I knew that I could use my abilities for something better.
She is replaced by THECIRCUIT (34). His long, blond hair flowing to the side and buzzed around the back. He's dressed in his signature green tech-suit.
THECIRCUIT: He founded the Olympiads. He saved my parents. He gave me direction.
Finally, SATURNIA (65 though seemingly 25) appears. She's a blue Saturnian with blue sclera and yellow irises. Small curved appendages float mysteriously over her shoulders.
SATURNIA: He opened the doors for Human-Saturnian relations. Without him I'd never be able to call Earth my home.
NEWS ANCHOR: (somberly) This memorial service... (suddenly exuberant) has been brought to you by HADRON COLA!
An ad featuring The Circuit flashes up
The taste that collides with your tastebuds!
An ad featuring MissFire replaces The Circuit. She's bowling at the camera and is covered only by a flowing red cloth.
And by the MissFire collection: Styles inspired by the world's most fiery heroine.
Screen fizzles out.
