“I heard that the science lab is haunted!” Amy was telling Cameron and me about what her older sister had told her that morning before school, we were on our way back home now.

“But she was probably lying, trying to scare you.” Cameron pointed out reasonably, “That’s what older siblings do.”

“No! It has to be real, right, Kris?” Amy turned her head to face me.

“Um… maybe, I don’t know…” I didn’t know what I was supposed to say, and I think I disappointed Amy.

“Then let’s see if it’s true! Let’s go to the science lab tonight!” Amy was determined to prove to us that she was right,

“Fine, we’ll go tomorrow,” Cameron agreed begrudgingly.
