I respect the father for taking care of his wife, the old coots who but the blame on him forget that anything could’ve happened. If the former emperor died even when he was fighting they probably would’ve blamed him for failing his job anyways. On top of the fact that they didn’t do a good enough job keeping the emperor from fighting in the first place
