To make something so out of this world, is it possible? Would you be able to produce something that impacted not only the world you live in, but the space that surrounds it? To come up with an idea so extreme, to even think about an idea so extreme, to try and execute and idea so extreme...
"It's not possible."
"Huh?" Blue perks his head up from the table he had been resting it on for the past few minutes while explaining an idea to his dear friend; Veronica. A cyclops alien with long, flowing teal hair and a shining blue eye. "Why not?" he questions her about the topic further. Never in a million years would he give up on such an incredible idea as this one. Absolutely not.
"Because that goes against physics, Blue." Veronica rolls her eyes and returns to her paperwork, not believing that Blue of all aliens would suggest something so absurd as this.
"Wait, wait, look at this." Blue tries to direct Veronica's attention back to him, showing her some bright text on a floating transparent screen about creating a new world and becoming a God.
Veronica scoffs loudly at what she sees. "Are you seriously considering it? Do you have any idea of how impossible and dangerous that would be?" Her words echo inside the empty white room of the small spaceship as she points at Blue with a stern look on her face. Blue sighs audibly and turns the screen away from her with disappointment, finally starting to reconsider.
He rests his cheek on his hand and stares through the glass into the dark abyss of the universe, occasionally glancing at the stars that they'd been floating past for... who knows how long.
"When will we do anything fun?" Blue asks, reaching out and touching the glass with the tips of his fingers. "All we do every single day is fly through space observing the same stars we've already looked at thousands of times..." He turns his head to look at Veronica with a slight frown.
She looks down at the table and shrugs, unsure. "This is our duty, Blue. We can't just stop doing this without any repercussions." She swallows and takes a deep breath, releasing it once Blue starts another sentence in a clearly worried tone.
"Will we ever see anyone else again?"
Veronica freezes for a few seconds, then slowly turns her head towards Blue to be met with the sight of him looking at the stars through the glass, silently crying. His tears drip down from his chin onto his lap, making no effort to keep them in. His legs, which were once crossed by the ankles on top of the table, now situate themselves under the table in a neat fashion.
Veronica turns her head back to look through the glass as well, expression turning into an unhopeful one.
"...I don't know," she answers carefully, voice and hands trembling the tiniest bit.
The two sit in silence for what feels like forever, contemplating whether or not to say more. The quiet humming of the spaceship, the roaring sounds of nearby black holes, and the twinkling sound of the stars are all that remain.
"...If you ever seriously plan to execute that idea of yours, just remember that I warned you."
