Edd's name was informed to the actual file format of his different kinds of faces to display, and .edd files stand for Eraser Drawing Display, so it really makes sense about why Edd was named after .edd files.
EDD NEWS: .edd files used as emojis
.edd files also can be used as emojis, you have to add them to your computer to have them in your emoji disk. Here's an example: (NOTE: the .edd emojis will just be normal iOS emojis.) 😢 I'm very sad and tired 😴 yay 😊

Recently, Edd's been acting strange. We don't know why, but he would always say "help me" and he would always draw "XVX", which is a custom foreign code that translated to "Dead".
