Alex’s pov

A light was shining through the curtains of my bedroom window. I sat up and rubbed my eyes and looked at my clock it was only one and i didn't have school due to summer vacation. I threw the covers up and slid my legs to the side of my bed. Stood up and stretched arching my back and lifting my arms up revealing my boxers under my large t shirt. I walked over to my closet and picked out something casual. I grabbed a pink, purple and blue tie dye shirt and some black jeans with rips at the knees. And the went to the bathroom to do my hair, my brunette hair was not that messy to be honest. I grabbed my hairbrush and made it look neater but still shaggy. I went down stairs and grabbed some cereal and turned on the TV. I got up and ran up the stairs to grab my phone. I checked my messages one was from my mom and one was from Jake, my crush. I opened mom’s first and it said “Alex how are you i hope your enjoying us being gone sorry you didn't want to come with it's really fun” I sighed and typed back “thanks for reminding me mom”. Then I checked Jake's message my heart was beating rapidly the message reading “hey Alex i was wondering since you said you don't really have much to do why don't we go shopping or get something to eat.” I just replied with “sure when” even though everything in my mind was telling me that I should have said something more. But then my phone dinged and a new message popped up and it said “is later today ok, about 4:30” my eyes widened and I nearly dropped my phone but i managed to type “yep sounds good”. I called my best friend Amelia. She didn't answer i figured so she doesn't usually get up this early during summer. So I just left a message saying “hey Amelia, Jake basically just asked me out hope you can get back to me soon”. Then I grabbed my cereal bowl and walked to the kitchen and put it in the sink, then I heard my phone ring, I ran over to it and smiled, it was Amelia i answered “yes?” I asked she screeched into the phone “I'm so happy for you finally you get someone!!” I laughed, “I guess we will have to see how it goes, well i have to go” I told her “okay have a good date” she exaggerated the date part. “God you're so annoying” I complained then I hung up and went upstairs to take a shower to get ready, when I got in the shower it was warm and calming, i sighed and washed my body feeling the soap spreading around on my body, I've always been a small kid not muscular that's why I've never been with a girl they would never like me. And also that's one of the reasons i get bullied is being gay and liking the most popular guy in school, or because i'm so weak and small. And that's also why when i was 14 i was raped by my uncle, he laughed at me as i cried for my father, “daddy’s never going to come for you” recalling the words he said, i'm not scared of having sex with someone i love though. I hop out of the shower and put my clothes back on and look at the time on my phone, it read 4:09 alright he’ll be here at 4:30 i had time to dry my hair and make it look nice.
