“It’s only a dream.” I thought yet here I was, however not in body, but just a lingering specter to another's memory. This place is real, but it's not my reality. The ground is cracking below me as the storm draws near and my words are met with silence as I try to speak. I can taste the dampness in the air and smell the smoke that quickly overpowers my fight for a breath of fresh air. This world was dying along with the people in it, there was no one left to remember it and re-tell the story of what it was and could have been. Lost pages scatter all around with the wind, as if a last effort from this world to turn the page and start anew.

Yet even though all this destruction around me was unyielding a last shred of hope stood before me and the facade of light dawned on two silhouettes.
