Production on Season 02 of Ransomed Wings is already in full swing, and I’m thrilled to say things are moving smoothly!
So smoothly, in fact, that we’ve already got some fresh concept art to share with you all. Season 02 opens in an upscale French-inspired restaurant, adorned with Art Nouveau murals. (Unsurprisingly, Julius picked one of the finest spots in all of Prestige to take his family.)
Lore Notes:
Before the fall of Grange and the rise of the UEM, this restaurant was considered a crown jewel of the kingdom.
The woman featured in the artwork here is more than just simple decoration too, she was a celebrated muse and historical figure from Grange’s past. Now, her legacy endures through the restaurant’s surviving art and architecture, though the intended reverence of her presence is all but forgotten.

It's hard to believe that it's already been a year since we put Ransomed Wings on hiatus. We've got some updates for those of you who are waiting for the return of our comic!

There's a unique kind of isolation that is born out of exhaustion, and we're no better at admitting our weaknesses than the next person.
Still, we have been completely overwhelmed and encouraged by the love and support you've all shown us since we announced a hiatus for Ransomed Wings earlier this week. To the family, friends, patrons and fans that have committed to stick with us through the ups and downs, to those who've chosen to pray for us and love us in the midst of the race toward our creative purpose- thank you. From the very bottom of our hearts, thank you!
Words are not enough to express the depth of our emotional gratitude, so we've also prepared a Myra drawing as an extra token of our thanksgiving. We hope you enjoy her!
Here's to embracing the struggle and along with it, the growth.

Today we are announcing a hiatus/pause to Ransomed Wings.
There are several reasons for this, but it mostly boils down to a need for rest and reflection both physically and mentally, and more time to prepare a larger portion of the comic as a buffer, so future releases can be longer and more frequent.
We've been extremely frustrated lately with how production of Ransomed Wings has been progressing. Yavi also needs to rest her arm/wrist and we need to seriously rethink our creative process. We hope you all understand.
We promise to do all that we can to get the comic back on track asap, stay tuned for more updates. In the meantime, you can still expect weekly art/illustration posts.

Creator to creator, I understand how difficult that kind of frustration can be. I'm sure you and your comic will both benefit from a little breathing room. Your work has been great, and I look forward to seeing what you do with it, however long that takes.

Like the last time you took hiatus to change the style, get a buffer, etc., your work produced amazing results. It will happen again.
I must say with understanding, all of your health is number one. As a creator, I totally am with you there. Take your time, get stress off the table, eat well, exercise, enjoy life where you are onto where you're going. I'll be here as long as God blesses me to do so. I can't wait for the results!!!
