Allyx is a young writer who published online for the first time ever on Tapas during April of 2019. She's loved both reading and writing for a very long time, and is excited to finally share a project with the world. When she isn't writing, she can be found programming, drawing, playing her violin, or taking a hike. You can contact her at creatorallyx@gmail.com. She'll (try to) respond in a timely manner.
Hi, all! Today I will be answering questions about Legerdemain that nobody has asked but that I want to answer anyways. I guess y'all have a FAQ section, now.
1. When do you update?
- Once a week, at least. I usually update on Monday nights.
2. What inspired you to write Legerdemain?
- I'm working on a project with some friends that will be released later this year. Since I'm in charge of the written portion, I decided that now would be a good time to learn how Tapas works and how to write!
3. Where did you get the title from? I've never heard that word before.
- Legerdemain is a real word, and I encourage you to look up the definition. It has to do with magic and deception, and both concepts are very important to the story. I liked this word in particular because it is uncommon, and I enjoy learning obscure/uncommon words.
4. How many chapters do you have written in advance?
- Right now, none. If you catch me at a good week I might have one scheduled, though. To be honest, I haven't planned out the story very far. Even I don't know what's happening (fully).
5. Have you written anything else?
- Yes! And I might decide to publish it later, if I have enough time to develop my drafts further and edit them.
As of now, I have finished Episode 1! However, I will stick to the original plan of releasing on May 6th. This way, I will be able to keep some episodes in reserve so that I can release (hopefully) weekly. Hope y'all enjoy.
Hello, all! I have the draft done for the first chapter of Legerdemain, and it will be released in about two weeks. As it turns out, this series is severely underplanned. I'd like to take some time to flesh out what will happen as well as build a buffer, which will take pressure off having to write quickly to maintain a regular update schedule. I'll probably update more frequently when I have my stuff planned out better. Thanks!
