Sorry for not updating for over a year. I did NOT mean for my 'break' to take this long, haha. The thing is, the past year has been absolutely awful. It's been one big, stressful thing after another and my mental health took a real dive.
With everything that's been going on, I took a step back and really thought about what I want to do with Boneman, and I've come to the conclusion that I need to just start over. I'm really not happy with some of the things I've written. The first chapter was written on a whim and the rest were written by the seat of my pants. I've decided I can't really work like that; I need to sit down, write out a proper outline, and try again. I'll leave the old one up for now.
It's probably going to take me a while to do that, though. In the meantime, remember that comic I've been threatening to do? I've been going over and rewriting parts of it as well and I think it's finally at a point where I can start drawing. That being said, I'm still dealing with some stuff irl, and I'd like to sketch it all out first, so it's not going to happen right away. Soon though, hopefully.

I am also working on a comic! (Yeah, I'm super busy lol) I won't say much about it, since I still have a lot of work left to do before it will be ready for release, but I will be putting most of my art muscles into working on that! So, my priorities right now are as follows:
1. My actual, paying job (still got one of those lol)
2. New episodes of Boneman
3. Working on the comic
4. Art for Boneman
I'll be working on the Boneman cover art first, of course. After that, though, I'll be finalizing character designs and sketching scenes for the comic, and novel illustrations will happen on a "when I have the time/motivation" basis.

In September, I took a break to deal with burnout and to figure out what I want to do with Boneman going forward. After a lot of consideration, I've finally figured out what I want Boneman to be and I have an outline of future arcs started. I also put some time into working on something else, which I'll talk more about later.
I'd planned to do some writing in October and maybe post a new episode or some art of the characters around Halloween, but...
Something happened in October. I don't want to get into details. I lost something that was a big source of happiness for me and helped with dealing with the stress of the pandemic. I'm moving on, but at the time it felt like after months of being slowly worn down by hit after hit, 2020 finally got a crit on me. As a result, I got very little done in October.
I'm sorry. I wish I had more to show for the hiatus, but if there's one immutable fact of life, it's that shit happens. However, despite all the shit that's been happening lately, I want to make sure you guys know this:
I AM STILL WORKING ON BONEMAN AND HAVE NO PLANS TO DROP IT.
It may take a while longer, but I AM working on it. I plan to start posting new episodes again by January 1st, even if it's just the end of chapter 13. I am also planning a visual overhaul - I won't be rewriting old chapters, but I will be shortening chapter titles, since I don't see the current pattern being sustainable in the long run. I'm making a new cover as well, and I'd like to eventually add illustrations to the episodes, but that's not something I can promise in the near future because...

Next episode will be up tomorrow. I've been getting a bit burnt out lately and I need some time to work on other things and recharge, so I'll be taking that break I talked about as soon as the update drops. This is not ideal, since we are still in the middle of chapter 13 (bad luck lol) and I wanted to finish ch14 before going on break, but I really need to take it right now.
Also, I made some changes to 13.1. After giving it a lot of thought, I decided I didn't like what I'd set up in the end of the episode, so I cut out a couple of sentences. That's all.
