Sorry for being gone so long--the focus I need to work on the comic is being tied up in personal issues, mostly concerning money for living expenses.
Working full time on The Fall of '08 for a couple of years isn't bringing in quite the amount of money I anticipated, so I've had to go on a job search until my savings are a bit more secure. As some of my American readers may have experienced, the job market isn't great, so I'll probably be gone for a while yet.
To be honest though, I'm also just losing motivation to post the comic online, in general. The response it's getting from the Webtoon and Tapas audiences is leading me to believe that maybe the comic isn't a good match for what people are looking for or expecting here. (At least, not good enough to justify the effort I put in.) After the last episode of Chapter 2 is posted, I'm considering just working on the comic at my own pace, and releasing it somewhere else.
My hand's getting a bit sore from drawing it, so the next episode (#45) of The Fall of '08 will be posted next Sunday the 8th, after I've had a chance to recover. This episode will be significantly longer than usual and is a special one I've wanted to show for a while, so please look forward to it~
Due to that incident with my broken drawing chair I mentioned, I'll need to delay this week's episode (#42) until next Sunday to build the Patreon backlog back up. Thank you for your patience!
Hello everyone, just posting a quick message for readers of The Fall of '08: Don't forget to get in your idea for my free commission stream while there's still time! As a reminder, your ideas should be related to the comic, stream-friendly, and reasonably simple.
We've actually gotten in one reader's ideas already, and they look great!
And for everyone else, remember to join us on January 5th, 2025, for Chapter 2 of The Fall of '08!
