Some think we're awesome. I don't know what they see in us. We're just average writers who want to tell awesome stories. I guess we'll soon see if we can do it.
We thank you so much for your time and support. We're disappointed in the outcome as well. It was nice while it lasted and we hope to see you again wherever we put down roots.
Out of respect for Tapas, we can't tell you where that will be. We can only tell you to comb the Google search results for Inside the Pillow Fort until you finally find the series in its new home.
With heavy hearts, we're announcing that Inside the Pillow Fort is moving.
For a year we've worked our hardest to develop as a publisher here and deliver as much content as quickly as we could. However, changes to this platform have made it much more challenging for writers like us to gain traction. Even some of our most dedicated readers have disappeared. We've lost our already limited reach.
Without pointing fingers, we'll simply state the facts. Tags have been capped at 10 without prior notice. This makes it significantly more difficult for smaller writers to reach larger audiences already dominated by much older and much larger accounts. What makes this a problem is that the limitation allows for these larger accounts to drown us out by using the same tags that most readers here are searching for. Our placements on lists go way down and we're never seen.
We've been watching our readership steadily drop month after month. This could be a matter of correlation but we don't think it is. We have followed the most highly suggest format by the platform and it did not work. The algorithm ignored us, likely because our content is vulgar. There have been smaller and newer accounts that have made the Daily Snack, and we've learned that the placement is arbitrary. In order to be included on the list, we have to also be picked by the editors. If the editors have seen our series and don't like vulgar content, they will not pick us regardless of how good the series is.
The next issue is the influence of a major corporation on the platform. Because of its vision of "wholesome" content, the rules are changing a bit. Our content is striking and real, therefore, we won't be making the cut. We don't just engage the reader, we challenge them. That's frowned upon. We touch sensitive subjects and weave our story around these subjects. These subjects are now untouchable in that fashion.
Please forgive us. SOMEONE forgot to publish last week's episode of Pillow Fort (-_-)
We're taking the next two weeks off to catch up so that we can wrap up this season of the series. We've got HUGE surprises in the future. We'll let you know when the next season of Pillow Fort is planned to launch. For now, enjoy the season finale coming soon!
We're terribly sorry for the delay. Today's episode of Pillow Fort may be several hours late. We're working hard to deliver it to you as quickly as possible. Please bear with us. You will get an episode today / tonight.
We're very sorry that Episode 24 was 3 hours late. It's been a very difficult week for us and our founder. He hasn't been doing well. We'll update this episode with emphasis, tags, and artwork very soon. For now, we just wanted to make sure you all got something to read this mid-week. Please enjoy and bear with us.
On Monday one of our writers had a cluster of more than 10 seizures. Regretfully, we are not able to produce an episode this week. We will keep you informed of the situation and plan to resume by Sunday. Please send them your love and sentiments.
Please forgive our tardiness today. We're nearly two hours late and we're sure some of you were afraid we wouldn't post an episode today. But, against all odds, we have brought you more Adam goodness. But the tone has understandably changed.
It's common knowledge now that Adam is himself an emotional rollercoaster. We sincerely hope you'll enjoy today's ride.
Feel free to compliment or chastise us below. We have to valid excuse for being late and we apologize from the bottoms of our hearts.
