Like most artists on the internet, we're trapped in a cycle of creating content for free while hoping someone eventually notices we're slowly selling off furniture to buy art supplies.
If you've enjoyed our comic enough to read to the end of this sentence, consider supporting us on Patreon.
You'll get exclusive content featuring characters making even worse life choices than we do: https://www.patreon.com/warandpeas
We want to remember the good internet. The cat clips, the funny family tales, the great comic feats. The internet that makes us laugh.
That's the internet we grew up on and the the one we want want to be a part of. We know that the world wide web is not always a great place.
Its like we are full of contradictions. One moment you're laughing at a tortoise enjoying a fresh lettuce leaf, the next you stumble across some heinous hateful trash. Thats what it feels like to be online today. Your brain cannot stand this whiplash.
Sometimes we want to throw our phones into the river and be done with it all. But then we remember you, our readers. And the good internet. And that its not time to give up just yet.

After over a decade of making webcomics, we’ve learned a thing or two.
One: people love to read funny stuff for free on the internet.
Two: You have to peddle your wares sometimes, even if it feels weird.
We post our comics for free but also have to make a living. That's where Patreon helps: Supporters get early comics, BTS content, and the satisfaction of knowing they're keeping us just functional enough to continue drawing instead of getting real jobs.
We know constant plugs are annoying, but please try to take a different perspective here:
Although millions of people read our comics every week, it's still difficult for creators to make a living. We don't get any money directly from Instagram or any other platform we post on.
If we wouldn’t have a Patreon page, we’d have to get real jobs and couldn't make comics at all.
So when you see plugs from us or any other artist, please be kind and remember we're just trying to keep creating. Thank you for understanding!
Ever fallen in love for a show or comic, only to discover it got canceled because not enough people supported it? We don't want that to happen here.
The brutal truth is: creating these comics is a labor of love, but love alone doesn't pay the bills.
Without financial support, even things you cherish can fade away. By joining our Patreon, you're not just getting perks – you're keeping this comic alive. If you love what we do, help ensure it doesn't disappear.
Every comic we publish takes a lot of steps– from the initial scraggly idea to the final post. There's the sketching, the inking, the coloring, the writing, the rewriting, the "is this even funny?" crisis at 2 AM, and the sacred final click on the ol' publish button on our tried and true website.
We do this every single week because we love it and because you show up to read it.
And the best part: With the help of Patreon, we can turn that thing we love doing into something we can actually live off of. If you'd like to be part of that — we'd be honored.
