Drawing headshots of a character is an easy way to show they are talking but that can feel repetitive if done too frequently. Changing the angle or viewpoint of the camera can help the comic feel more interesting to me.
Here is a panel I’ve been working on for the next episode of The Role of a Reaper. Even though drawing hands is difficult, I enjoy the process. It’s always good to practice.
I thought I was fixing the flow of a scene only to realize the panels in the storyboard were a little mixed up. So, I deleted the dialogue in the end.
I spent so much time on these bookshelves and I don't regret. I enjoyed drawing this.
Hi. We are working on the next episode of The Role of a Reaper. I thought it would be nice to show the sketch versus the line art. I try to keep the sketch clean so that the line art doesn't take too long.
In the upcoming episode of The Role of a Reaper, I added a hand gesture for Sequoia to express his glee. I realized that wouldn’t work because he holds a book in the panel before it. And he pulls out something from the book later, so I can’t just make him put it down.
We finished the story for The Role of a Reaper so that we could concentrate on the art aspect, but realized some plot points didn’t make sense. So, we rewrote and as we continued, other parts needed to be redone due to changes. It’s necessary but the process can feel slow.

Meet Soleil and Ellis, ocs who have been in my mind for a while. It was satisfying to sit down and really think about final designs for these two. This is Soleil's third design and the first time having two toned hair. I love Ellis' hair color.
