You know, now that we're in a new chapter it seems like a good time to collect the characters.
So here's a photo of them:
Andrew: Honestly, too smart for his own good.
Always on guard duty, always without sleep.
Angel: Verona's helper and AFTO's psychologist. He was not prepared for all this.
Bizz: Bob's pet fly.
Bob: Bizz's pet human (and the base's cook, unfortunately).
Constantinopolis (or "President" or "El Prez"): The youngest, but also the oldest
soldier of the base (thus, its "President"). He's relaxed to a criminal degree.
Dave: This is Dave. We don't wake up Dave.
Dodgy the Dinosaur: Zach made him for an army recrutement campaign.
His nickname is the "Double D" and he's hollow inside.
Kyle: The newest soldier in AFTO. That's bad.
Mike: You want something? Mike's got it!
Sarge Ralf: The connection between the upper officers and the common private.
Harsh? You bet. Evil? Meh...
Verona: AFTO's hypochondriac doctor. Her years of studying mean nothing here.
Despite that, if a doctor's needed, she'll do it. She just won't be happy about it.
Zach: AFTO's general repairman. Likes messing with people and is always in
a bad mood. But if you'd seen all the things he has, you'd understand.
The second chapter, if I could archive them like in other sites (*cough*<Comic Fury>*cough*), would be called "Rainy Days". This is what the cover would be.
It's too bad Tapas does not allow to seperate my comic chapters into full albums with dedicated covers. However, the AFTOs 1 to 47 are a full album called "Tactical Blunder". Here's the cover.
The right to love has taken many hits this year. But nothing is over. Nothing is ever over. Nothing that can't get better if we fight. Take it from someone not LGBTQ+. Never forget, never let anyone forget, love is love!
I'm sorry for not posting on AFTO this Thursday.
A lot has happened over the last few days. I'd say "don't worry, nobody died", but it would be a lie.
There's a lot I need to manage right now, so I'll probably take a couple of weeks off from AFTO.
There is an episode of Professor Profound scheduled for Sunday, so you can look forward to that.
Again, I'm sorry.
Give me a few days, I'll be back.
Athens is celebrating Pride Month! And since AFTO is, at it's core, based on all the bullshit I saw back when I was in uniform, I'd like to send out a message this June.
The uniform is just a pair of clothes. Assholes will often use it as an excuse to bully other people, but that's all it is, an excuse. An asshole is an asshole in uniform or not. At least that was my experience as a sailor, for whatever it's worth.
I'm not, nor do I claim to be a member of the LGBTQ+ community. However, their rights are something that I will always support.
I have seen friends of mine ostracized by their families for something I'd always pay so little importance to. So much hate, over such a small part of their lives. A part I always thought was nobody else's buissness.
If you are struggling out there, let me tell you this. Don't let them win! Don't let their hate, their ignorance, their fear, get the better of you. The fight against this darkness will be long and bitter. Hold firm!
