Problem Child has been around long enough to follow someone throughout the entirety of high school. What is your life like now compared to when ProChi started on January 27th, 2018?
Hey, just so you guys know, I'll be going by the pen name of "Brian LS" from now on for personal reasons. Still pronounced the same. Okay cool thanks <3
A Statement Regarding the Future of Problem Child:
Since the beginning, I have been able to give ProChi such a frequent and consistent upload schedule due to my supervisor at my office job's support and willingness to look the other way while I work on Problem Child during my down time at work.
Unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic has taken a heavy toll on their business, and I was informed that I will be laid off on June 1st.
I'm very grateful for how much support I was given by that job, but sadly, I also imagine that support like that won't be easy to find in a new job. So, come June 1st, Problem Child and comics in general will have to go back to being a hobby for me while I find a new place to work.
I'll only be able to release new episodes simply whenever I can; optimistically, once a week. I also won't be able to continue putting out supplemental content, such as Bad Eggs and Problem Child Extra. I'll also have to reconsider the possibility of any more stories following Problem Child's conclusion.
That is, unless I am able to turn Problem Child into my full-time job. With enough Patreon support, I would be able continue making Problem Child, Bad Eggs, and Problem Child Extra with the same release schedule as I always have. And when Problem Child ends, likely late this year, I'll be able to begin work on the next story right away and keep giving you consistent character-driven content.
I've put my heart and soul to this story, and seeing it cut down when its come this far already would be devastating, to say the least. There are so many other stories I want to share with you as well, so I hope you'll consider contributing. I sincerely thank you for your continued support of me and my work.
Oh, that sucks to hear. I hope you can figure out work soon! PC is such a cool comic, I think even if the updates aren't consistent it will still be worth the wait! Good luck!
Today marks two years since the first episode of ProChi was uploaded to Reddit. I had no idea where it was going from there, but I'm so happy it's evolved into what it has.
Thanks so much for all your support over these two years, and I hope you'll stick around to see where ProChi takes us all over the next year!
Last night I had to say goodbye to my best friend, Nelly. I hope you'll understand when I say there will not be a new episode of Problem Child tomorrow as I take time to grieve this loss.
