So what's going on with the Stormfall rewrite? Is that still happening?
Sorry folks! I made a HUGE mistake and uploaded the next batch of batches without realizing I'm missing a page! I'll be back in a couple days with the missing page for everyone, sorry about that!

The first couple pages of Tale of the Harbingers are up and ready to go. I'm very excited to be working on this project and finally get back in the game! Check it out and keep Aki, Cole, and Elina in your hearts just a bit longer, they'll be back soon!

Hi everyone!
It's been a while and my apologies for that, but I'm finally ready to announce what I've been working on!
Rewriting Stormfall is going smoothly, but there are many changes in the worldbuilding happening, and I wanted to do a little something to help stretch my comic drawing muscles before getting back into it.
So, I'm announcing The Tale of the Harbingers! It will be a (relatively) short comic that goes through some of the new lore and world building for the world Stormfall takes places in, explaining a bit of history, religion, and the new way magic works in this setting.
As well, it'll be a HUGE artistic challenge for me, as you can see from the cover page below, I'll be aiming for this intricate, heavily embellished art style. The look for the entire comic will hopefully be somewhere between a traditional comic book, an illustrated storybook, and an illuminated manuscript. It'll be interesting!
Lastly, because of the labor intensive art style and some more revisions that need to be made, I can't as of yet guarantee a release schedule. But look forward to the first couple pages in the next week or so!

I was wondering, how's the rewrite for Stormfall going? I found it recently, and it looks quite interesting! The early art is rather rough at times, but I love the sort of painting aesthetics it has; I much prefer that over manga art-style or the realistic type. I've only read the first chapter thus far, but the story also seems as though it could be an interesting one. I hope you will continue it.

Hey there! Sorry I haven't been updating much, but thanks so much for your interest! I've been working steadily on the rewrite and I'm happy to say I'm making a lot of progress. Lots of things are changing and I just want to be sure i have everything as good as it can be before I begin actually drawing the pages. Whole blocks of lore and worldbuilding are being completely overhauled, so look forward to a lot of fun and interesting changes. More importantly, I actually just started drawing pages again for a special surprise that should be coming very soon, so look forward to that! Thanks again and you'll get more Stormfall soon, I promise!

Hello everyone!
As you may have noticed, Stormfall hasn't updated in a long while. My apologies for that, and for not making a post about it sooner, but I just graduated college and things have been a bit crazy!
But now that now that I'm done with my formal education I think I'm ready to take a step into a different phase of my life. And therefore, so is Stormfall. I've grown a lot since I started this comic, and I think there is much to be improved upon.
Therefore, I'm announcing a complete reboot of Stormfall! I've been mulling the idea over in my head for a long, long time, but I think it's finally time and I'm ready. This will give me time to do more world building, editing, peer review, and actually writing scripts before I storyboard to hopefully create a more cohesive and immersive story and world.
I've already been hard at work at this for a while now , and you can follow my blog at www.tumblr.com/blog/stormfallwebcomic to stay updated! Right now I'm going through a bunch of concept art but soon I'll be uploading some creative writing and world building pieces I've been doing!

I know a lot of creators worry a lot about doing reboots, but regardless of why they worry, I feel it's good steps in the right direction to do so. Everyone grows with what they do, and your experience as an artist and storyteller have vastly improved over time. The fact that you want to make your original creation even better is super cool. I totally support your efforts in doing this, and look forward to seeing how you've grown, and what your story becomes.
would be nice to see a side by side comparison as it goes on. so we can see what was improved upon

Hi Lweeb, Im trying to make comics but everytime i start I get bored and loose interest, how do you keep coming back and stay interested?
Oh, thank you for asking! Making comics is a lot of work and it can definitely be hard to keep going, especially when you don't immediately see a lot of support for your work. The most important thing, in my opinion, is to know who you're writing for. Any work you do should be because YOU want to, because YOU want to see it, and because YOU love it. And then you have to trust anything you would enjoy, other people would enjoy as well. It isn't always true, but if nothing else you will have gotten something done and have improved your craft. But as far as keeping interest, I guess it comes down to, at least for me, feeling truly attached to your characters and wanting to see their story fulfilled. For me, I've been attached to the characters in Stormfall for over seven years, and they've grown with me and will stay with me for a long time. So that can also relate to writing characters and a story that are close to your heart, if not inspired by things you've experienced or have seen. When you're that attached to a set of characters then, it'll be hard to NOT produce content for them. At least that's how I feel. But the creative process is very, very different for every person so never hold yourself to anyone else's standards. Same with your workflow and the amount of work you produce. Everyone works at their own pace and it's important to find what works for you and not overwork yourself. Perhaps working on a dedicated schedule like I do would help you stay on track (I do a full color page every day), or perhaps you need more time and flexibility. Try a few different things and see what you can handle without burning yourself out. Above all else really, love what you do and the story you're trying to create. (....sorry this was so long I hope it was helpful)
