I picked up drawing since I was four and have not stopped since. My favourite art style is cartoon and my favourite genres are comedy, romance, fantasy and sci-fi. My favourite thing to draw are monsters/fictional races.

Bad news. My printer is officially retired. It is so old that its software is now invisible to my tablet making it impossible for me to print or scan anything, so this year, the April, Easter and May art pieces will be delayed.

It is ok for you IP to have originally been a fanfic that was so AU and so OOC that making it an original story just felt more right. Lots of writers do this including professionals. It's nothing to be ashamed of or shame others over.
It's great to get with the times and try to encourage fans from other groups to look at your work, but please, don't alienate the fans you already have. Not because they were there first. It's because it was thanks to them being there at all and for so long that YOU are still here.

Big fat hairy news (in a good way) for all of you readers!
At my beloved husband's suggestion, because I write very fast and my manuscripts are so well written even when the comic doesn't 100% follow them, I have decided that starting next week, I will publish my manuscripts as novels! This way, I can get even more work out there and more projects completed to my name.
Now, don't worry. I will still make comics and I still intend to make as many of my novels into comics as possible, but from what I see, a lot of great TV shows and films were originally books, so doing this won't diminish my chances at getting my work of TV. If anything, I think it will increase it.
With that said, I owe my hubby a big chocolate cake lol.

I mean, personally, I would disagree that the lack of levity is a problem in MODERN entertainment specifically. Cynicism in adult media is far older than that. Look at more than half of Victor Hugo's bibliography, for instance, or, every single famous opera one can think of. But I'm not trying to start an argument, you can be assured of that.
It's ok. You have a good point, but from what I see... there's way too much cynicism now. Maybe I am looking at the wrong stuff because of bad luck.
