We're insanely close to being done with the novel, and I'm so excited. We reached 40,000 words yesterday, and we only have about 7 chapters to run through still. About half of Part 8 is done, and Part 6 is in its early stages still. I've really loved building up these entertaining characters with my best friend, and can't wait to be done :)
What's also insane to think about is that I really think we can end the story with 50,000 words.
Sorry for not posting much on Hyper recently, it's been really hard to get a certain part of the story moving. I promise the momentum will pick up in like two chapters. I have a LOT planned, don't worry
The upcoming characters that will be introduced are the parents of Arden's character (Kim Chevalier), and how the world really reacted to people with powers. After this chapter, we'll be much closer to the true "present time" of the novel (2048)

The next chapter is inspired by the character Akira outlined. Akira was a friend of Jackie, and I didn't actively try to make conversation with her. Today, I feel bad for not doing that. What I have planned for Lola really is a mirror reflection of Akira's personality, and I hope she would agree with me.

It always surprises me how the emotions of my stories funnel into me when I write them. I'm currently writing about a very stressed pregnant woman on an airplane, and I left the chapter with heavy breathing and beads of sweat.
I honestly need to lie down after writing that chapter, but I still have several hours of school left to go.
A quick look as to how far Ellie and I are getting with the story...
More will be revealed by next year. Until then, I think a break is well due with how much we've been working on this novel in the past... 8 months of outlining/writing? Been a long time coming for this to finish up.
