Hi all, it has almost been five years since I started on The Afternoon Brew.
Surprisingly I still have a handful of folks subbed to this webcomic, so for anyone who cares to read and stick around, got a bit of a backstory.
I started this project back in high school, wanting to create a story out of my own ocs. Granted, it was highly ambitious at the time, considering the amount of commitment and time I need to spend on developing the comic. TLDR; I couldn't commit to the comic and focused more on my life.
Five years later, my ambitions for making a webcomic still thrive a bit. Though because my ideas and taste for stories have changed drastically, I'll be discontinuing The Afternoon Brew. I had lots of fun developing Nolon and Dani's stories outside of webcomics, they'll forever be cherished.
Currently, I am working on a potential new webcomic idea. It's not set in stone yet, but it's basically a love letter to Korean mafia films, the Yakuza/Judgment video game series, Hip-hop culture, and the theme of brotherhood. All I can show for now is the protagonist of the story, Akade.
