The province of Late Sun is cursed with a magic that prevents its people from ever leaving. A corrupted string of magic which calls itself 'The Task Curse' sends letters to people outlining a task they must do or leave to suffer the consequences. The story follows Brona, a six year old Distorter seeking to break the curse of her hometown with the aid of a hundred foot tall Giant and a Politician.
