So yeah, it has been a while but I haven't been sleeping. I formally got diagnosed with depression and have been taking medication for that, but also my perpetually ailing shoulder. Been rehabbing that the past year and now I can finally say it -
I'm healed. I'm writing. I'm drawing. I'm back.
Hitting my own personal reset button to see if my body will actually hold up. It has so far, but I hope you guys enjoy me being incredibly silly with ancient Chinese literature. Again.
So I just posted something extremely personal and important to me. I have no idea if it is up to Tapas posting conduct and/or guidelines or not, but it is something I posted not as Sosofellow, but as William.
The piece in question is an article I wrote in December of 2019 and shopped around for a while, but received no real interest in it. Since I first wrote it, some of the subject matter of the piece are things dominating the headlines now, especially here in the United States. I decided to try and just self-publish it and post it somewhere on Juneteenth as opposed to tweaking it.
Love it, hate it, it is essentially laying my soul bare to the internet which is a big no-no, but here I am. Love you guys.
Right now, I can't. I'm sad and mad at a lot of things, mostly regarding the institutions of creativity. I'm also exhausted and generally not enjoying even little things I used to love. This has left me very burnt out, very hurt, and pretty much unable to be as creative as I want to.
There is a very good chance a project like Six Legged might not be finished, so please don't be mad if I just drop it. If I pump out anything at all in the coming months, it will probably be more shorts. As of now, all I ask is for you guys to understand and to hopefully send some good vibes my way.
Hi guys! A few updates on my end:
Good news: Dong slightly better on the mental health front
Better news: I got a promotion at work! Right in the thick of the holidays. Yikes. Which means...
Bad news: Been exhausted all month trying to adjust to new workload. All that combined means no stuff this month at all. I can't apologize enough for that, but I'm really hoping once I can adjust to everything, I can try and do something in Jan/Feb, however, my chronic pains have flared up horribly, making drawing a literal pain. But I wanna keep giving it a go!
(Also, promotion came with more money; enough that I might start throwing it at some of you artists to help make some of the comics my body fails on. Keep an eye on your inboxes, will ye?)
Hey guys,
So depression's been kicking the living crap out of me this month. It also doesn't help that I'll be working through Thanksgiving/Black Friday/Christmas with little to no time off, so there's a very good chance the next episode of Six Legged Supelx won't be up at the end of the month.
I apologize in advance although in the meantime, I did recently finish a short comic and tested a new art style with it. Hope you all do well and happy reading to whatever else you're into!
My first comic got published about a month or so ago! It is part of the Over a Coffee Anthology from some good folks right here on Tapas! I think these links work; otherwise, copy-past?

Other big news - my first webcomic in over four and a half years is set to finally grace the Interwebz this coming Monday! To anyone who was remotely interested in Superkick HIgh School, there's more wrestling ridiculousness on the horizon, this time infused with ancient Chinese literature. What's all that about? Take a look when it goes up on the 30th!
Superkick finished a few months ago BUT I've not stopped creating. In fact, my comic pitch got accepted by the incredible folks at Faries and Ents for their Over a Coffee anthology that is going to be PUBLISHED! That incredible "P" word we all strive for one day!
If you guys wanna support your fellow Tapas creators, you can donate what you can to the Kickstarter for this anthology! Also if you want a sneak peak of my comics style before I actually publish one this year, you can do that too if you're so inclined.
I feel like anytime I talk to you guys, I'm apologizing.
A whirlwind of situations beyond my control have resulted in Superkick not being posted in 2018, but hopefully, I can start this year off right. I said I was going to get the whole thing polished and posted, and dammit, that's what's going to happen. But I am extremely sorry for not being able to follow up on all of this and finish it off.
There's only maybe five more chapters left to go on it. I will give a disclaimer - I used to write fantasy wrestling booking where we had to write wrestling matches out in their entirety. I'm not saying any upcoming matches won't be super long, but I find it VERY hard for myself to hold back on them because they are maybe my favorite things to write of all time.
If you're still with me, it's about to come to an end. Apologies tenfold, but yeah. Here we go.
Full disclosure - I've been in a terrible place mental health-wise the past few months. Pair that with moving to another state and the job hunt and all that, haven't had the most time or energy.
But I am creatively devoted and hate having unfinished works. So, over the months of September/October, I'll be trying to finish posting Superkick High School and bring that story to its conclusion for you guys.
BMD has actually been sent off for potential publication, so that one I can't finish on here and it might even need to be taken down. I'm so sorry about all that for the, like, ten people who cared about that one.
There's more coming, though! In the new year, there will be another wrestling themed webnovel that's currently in the works. There will also be the first comic series I've created in nearly five years. So there will be more than enough stuff to make up for lost time.
Thank you for those of you who have stuck around and who still want to. It truly means the absolute world to me. Here's to makin' more!
(Also, send me links to your favorite stuff. Looking at great art makes me wanna make more art!)
Hi folks! My first actual post on my wall; how exciting.
I'm simply using it to tell you guys that following today and next Monday's editions of 'The Bard Must Die,' the series will be going on a small hiatus until April. This is because I'll be entering the Tapas Novel Writing Contest starting on March 19th!
I hope you guys understand this and will be willing to support me in a work that is, admittedly, VERY different from the way Bard works and actually see me write in a more 'traditional' prose style.
But yeah! Thanks for your support either way and lemme know what you guys think of everything so far.
