For those celebrating, I'm joining you in welcoming the year of the Water Rabbit. Apparently for Rooster folks like me, this is a year for holding it in...not a great outlook for someone who normally takes charge and forges ahead. As patience is not my strong suit, I'm going to have to zen my way through and really put value on small wins.
Speaking of small wins, I am forging ahead with Migong. Posting may be a bit spotty as I'm doing this as a WIP rather than posting as a completed work. It's a bit nerve-wracking as I normally don't start posting until I'm mostly done. Not so here...
For those of you who read the teaser at the end of MG 1, you can skip right past the prologue to the first chapter to see what Feiyan has been up to since saying her goodbyes to Moutan...and then I will torture you by telling Seiji's arc so that may be the last time you see Feiyan for quite some time.
Have fun and check out Migong 2:
May you all have safe and joyous celebrations.
I've been mostly offline for a while madly working on Migong 2. I'm also a bit behind with my reading, but will catch up soon! Can't wait to get to those new chapters you've all been posting! (If RL will let me catch a breath)
As Lunar New Year is right around the corner, I thought I'd prepare a small gift, so I've published a teaser for Migong 2. You can find it at the end of Migong 1. Hope it whets your appetite for more!
Also, my wonderful and talented fellow writer @MoYun_ZJ created a fabulous map for me so you can get an idea of what the Migong universe looks like! It's been added to Migong 1 after 'Note about the universe'
Take care and talk to you very soon!!
Great strides are being made to bring the world into the modern era, but Lilly Linney gets dragged off on an African safari by her trophy-hunting step-brother, Henry.
Manipulative and cunning, Henry isn't there just to hunt the animals...and Lilly knows it.
When Max Harkness helps Lilly to escape from her step-brother's grasp, a chase ensues that leads them from the baked soil of Africa to the busy streets of New York.
Will Lilly ever escape Henry? Can she truly trust Max? Or is she actually completely surrounded by lions in the dark...
Water Mirrored Moon had an uptick of readers on Wattpad...hopefully that means it might get shortlisted for the Watty's this year! I'll let you all know if it does :)
Take care and talk to you all soon!
The basis for a new story often comes to me as a short scene. I've got a file folder on my computer full of these types of sketches.
These two new stories were a fun challenge for me to see how much and what I could convey with a limited amount of words.
Let me know what you think, and if they leave you wanting more. :)
