So I started moving back onto Photoshop CC. It's going to take some getting used to again. Haven't touched it in 3 years so I'm using dumb images as practice.
Example:
The new Windows update messed up my Wacom comparability and they're working on fixing this with no actual ETA, so I've been testing things out on my Linux laptop.
Let's just say my art abilities have back peddled and looks really messy and gross and takes me about 10 times longer to finish than normal.
Mostly because I'm using Krita and I don't actually know that program well enough to make smooth ink looking lines.
The second page is taking me over a week so if you're reading Nebuluxis and don't see an update... well, this is why. I should have this page done before the weekend but ya never know...
Oh wow, THAT really means a lot to ME!!! O_O I'm so glad you're enjoying the story! As a huge sci fi fan myself, nothing makes me happier than knowing my comic is being enjoyed by fellow sci fi lovers! Thank you so much for joining the Binary Star journey, and I hope you continue to enjoy it ^_^
Oh you bet I will! I might even learn a thing or two (the struggle is rreeaaall)! You've got great pacing and excellent detailing in your work so I'm definitely going to keep reading (and might buy physical copies since I like to share comics at work)-- not to mention your expositioning. Thats really hard to pull off. Keep up the awesome work, Jamie! You got this!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the kind words! :-D The truth is, I originally wanted to be a professional writer, and the pursuit of an art career came way later, so it makes me really happy when people compliment my writing because 99% of the time, people only say nice things about my art - which is totally fine!!! - but I'm always happy when people remember that I also write the story and do all the scripting and all the lettering and stuff, too. Also, if you enjoy seeing the process part of making comics, the physical copies of Binary Star (I've only got chapter 1 and 2 printed right now, but I'm working on getting 3 prepped for printing right now) include a lot of bonus pages at the back that talk about my writing process and show lots of in-progress art. Both comics also have original Binary Star illustrations that were never published online ^_^ I'm just so glad you're enjoying my comic, and I'm so happy to have you along for the ride! I promise the story will keep getting wilder from here on out! :-D
