Hello there! I'm really glad I found your work. I really love it. I am sorry you've had toxic comments thrown your way. I really like how you show your characters motivations. You have shown there aren't any bad guys in the story. I like that a lot. It's good to watch them all learn to understand and forgive each other.
I think you might continue to get negative comments. Some people just want to let their heads slide into a story that only feeds them the same tropes they are used to reading. They don't really want to make the effort to appreciate something new. I think it makes them uncomfortable because it causes them to rethink their own narrow minded ideas. People often want a black and white story where the characters are solidly divided into good guys and bad guys. I think it can be fun to sometimes read stories with those old, simplistic plots and characters. But all the time? Garg, how boring!
You are writing something new and interesting, That is what a good artist should be trying to do. Anyone trying to do something innovative will experience a negative push back. It's going to happen. It's how you know you're doing your job.
Frankly, people who can't understand that the world is made of shades of grey aren't very mature. Maybe not mature enough to read something with good naughty bits? I think so.
