Hello! It's been a month, just popping in to say that I haven't given up on this series yet. I owe everyone an explanation on where I have been.
A lot has happened in my life this past month that really just drained me, with news that my dad needs a kidney transplant, my mom needing help with something that involved a ton of field work, and me not getting into the law school I applied for which devastated me. A strong word, but the emotions were strong too.
This past month was just me feeling a bit empty and kinda useless, but things are getting better now I think; my dad hasn't lost hope, the thing with my mom is done, and after a ton of cheering up from my best friends and a lot of introspection on what I actually want to do with my life, I think I'm ready to write again!

New update is up! After reading the edits my friend made, it really gave me a clue on where I was lacking and where I needed to improve.

Hello there! Small update, my writing muse is back! After a hefty writer's block and a few several heavy loads of gopher work (more since I got my driver's license), another chapter is in the works. Give it a few days with my editor and it should be up!
I can't wait!
Exams over. Felt pretty down after that, due to a mixture of fear of not passing and leniency because the exam was over. Picked myself up and wrote something. Here is the product of the few weeks of just...laying down.
ANYWAY, even if I don't pass, I still have the rest of my life to think about what I want to do. I have writing to fill the time by then!

The two-month halloween themed arc is finally over! I'm still deciding whether or not I'll do chapters of the missed holidays to make it feel more organic, or jump back to current time.
So, regarding that personal essay workshop thing, I lost! It was not surprising, considering my current skill level and the fact that the prompt was not something I was used to writing. Regardless, I am EXTREMELY happy I was given the chance, and instead of moping about it, I just pushed myself to try and get better!

Hello! A bit of an update. After that transcription gig, my mother suddenly made use of my driver's license to drive the entire daytime, so I barely had time for myself. And with the following holidays, we went out on a vacation for several days, and at that point I was a bit shy in showing my face again.

hello! so fortunately, i'm getting paid by my friend to help with their thesis by transcribing audio, which is pretty fun if i shut off my mind (plus helping out a friend so they could graduate is nice!).
on the other hand, however, that means I can't work on the next chapter. i'll try to finish this job faster so i can churn out a chapter sooner!
