OH HI. So, it's been a minute, and a lot (A LOT) has happened since I last posted.
I've been juggling a couple of large projects, processing the pandemic/transition to work-from-home, and then trying to be quiet and let others speak during the BLM protests. Long story short, I didn't feel it was the right time to do a lot of self-promotion. As a result, Starseeking went on a sort of...unofficial hiatus.
It was my new years' resolution to finish this comic back in January, and I feel a lot of guilt that I've let it languish. However, the idea of promotions/updates on multiple platforms feels like more than I'm game for right now, frankly. So here's my compromise:
Starseeking will update sporadically on its official website. (Starseekingcomic.com) As I finish pages, I'll put them up, but without any fanfare. When the story ends, I'll have a PDF available for download, and I'll promote THAT widely, across all my platforms.
I'd like to keep posting here on Tapas, and I'm still open to it in the future. But for now, starseekingcomic.com is where you can read new pages. Aaaaand if you peek today...everything I've drawn, all the pages I've banked thus far, are live online! Right now!

Right now the story is mid-way through the second act. I'm currently trying to finish it up and draw act 3, but it's happening in pieces in between day jobs. (I direct for TV animation and am just ending one show and starting the next.)

Hey all! I realized it's been a while since I've updated anything here. (In case you haven't noticed, for those of us living in the US it's...a bit of a rough one out there right now. Erk.) Making comics can seem kind of frivolous, but I do it for the same reason I make cartoons for a living: in the hopes that it gives someone a boost. Or is cathartic. Or hell, is even just somebody's welcome distraction (which is, frankly, something I could use right now.)
I want to thank everyone who's read, subscribed, liked, or left kind words for me! I am a tenderhearted animation&comics grandmother and knowing people dig the story I'm telling motivates me in a huge way.
Right now, we're almost to a good stopping point...kind of a commercial break, if you will. In a couple of weeks Starseeking is going to go on a 6-week hiatus while I get some things in order, but don't be alarmed! You can always find more behind the scenes goodies on Instagram and Facebook (@starseekingcomic) and on Tumblr (starseekingcomic.tumblr.com). And I welcome your notes and feedback! I welcome fanart!
