This is a Labor of Love.
I began creating these characters in 8th grade, making silly doodles in class like most kids do. But I kept expanding them. Dreaming up new storylines every few years--doodling a few pages--but never committing myself to a serious project. Until now.
I am not a professional artist. I am untrained.
I follow my instincts and strive to improve with every page, continuing to challenge myself.
It has been a great blessing in my life to finally get these characters out of my head and put them onto the page and make them breathe.
My comic is designed to be printed and read as a book. It is not a standard webtoon. When I started, I didn't even know what that really was. So, bear with me, dive into this comic universe I've had brewing in my head for so many years, and I hope you'll support me next Spring when this story is finished and the time comes to print a hard copy.
Tools
Strathmore smooth bristol paper 14" x 17", Kimberly 2B and H graphite pencils, Sakura Pigma Micron art pens, Staedtler pigment liners, Pentel brush pen, Photoshop, Wacom
Thanks!
I'm not sure really. I think, after the changes they made to Tapastic, that it's much much harder for people to find new series. The Daily Snack used to help people, but they took that away too.
All I know is, like I said in one of the episode descriptions, that I've done almost no promotion but on Webtoons.com I have 120 subscribers, 2.3K views, and over a hundred "likes." Here, on Tapastic, in that same time, I've gotten 8 subscribers, 135 views, and 3 "likes."
The difference is pathetic.
