Bit of an update. My hard drive died!... about a week ago. I pretty quickly found out which sites made it easy to do updates on mobile... and which ones don't... in any case, hard drive is now replaced, I'm back up and running and I'm working on the comic again! Sorry if there was any confusion!
I generally use orange lines to represent the blush that's often used in comics and cartoons to represent attraction. But I also use black lines to represent embarrassment. My assumption... well... my HOPE is that people will acclimate to my artistic habits and, in time, be able to unconsciously pick up on the difference.
I THIIINNNK... I finally feel pretty comfortable advertising my Etsy shop. You can find it over here: https://softsserve.etsy.com (there's an extra "S" in there). It's a way to support me and still get something out of it such as shirts, stickers, or pictures and posters for your wall. Additionally, my Patreon is another means of supporting me if your just want to do so directly. You can find it over here: www.patreon.com/Softsful . I'll slowly build up the products on the Etsy shop over time.
A while back I plotted out how many pages from the original run of Octeal were covered by each episode of the reboot, and I figured the 200ish pages I originally uploaded ended up being around 10 episodes. This episode, Episode 4, Canal Town... covers the most pages by a mile. The next biggest are Episodes 7 and 9, which cover about 24 pages each. Episode 4 covers 36 pages... anyway, I figure I'm about %80 done with Episode 4.... ONLY %80. Heheh.
I generally build up a buffer of ten pages then release them once every week with break periods. I do this for the sake of boosting my comic on Webtoon's "Popular" section. I wonder though, if I could just post my pages as I make them on other sites since on Tapas and Globalcomix consistent uploading doesn't benefit the comic...
