Hello, my wonderful followers!

It's been a fantastic ride here on Tapas, and I'm thrilled that Lost Number has gotten as much attention as it has. It hasn't been an easy road to get views and follows, but I appreciate every single one.

At its core, Tapas.io is a webcomic platform. It's easy to understand why, because webcomics are very easy for people to consume! We live in a world that leaves people feeling like they have very little time, so checking up on a page or two of a comic is easy to commit to. I understand that webcomics are the primary focus of Tapas.

However, I've had some issues on the serial novel delivery front here at Tapas. Unfortunately, formatting on mobile for those who try to view stories through a browser is very buggy, and the app has been confusing for some people that I've tried to send to view my story. It's a very disappointing moment to have someone excited to read your story, who gives up because it's too finicky to try to access. I've also had some viewers report that they weren't being properly updated when chapters were released.

It's been a difficult decision to make, but I've decided that the best course of action for me as a writer is to open my own website. It's going to take some time to set up, but by the time it's finished, it will serve as a publishing site for Lost Number and various other writing projects of mine, a blog, a resume for my writing, and give me more freedom for posting Lost Number related materials.

Book 5 WILL finish its run here on Tapas, so you won't be left hanging too badly. However, further books will arrive via my website, and I'm aiming to keep the same twice-a-week update schedule as before.

Thank you so much for your support, and I'll keep you in the loop as I make the transition to my own site!

Soooooo I'm looking at starting a non-canonical comic to go along with Lost Number, just involving the characters messaging each other on social media. Just some of the fun little chatter I don't get to include in the more serious story of the serial. ^^

So I've been calling Lost Number a "YA paranormal" story, but I'm not sure if that's the right category. These days, "paranormal" seems more like code for making out with werewolves. I don't know that I quite fit into fantasy or sci-fi, and the story isn't quite horrific enough to be "horror" (at least in my humble opinion)...

So how would y'all label Lost Number for genre, if you had to figure out where to stock it in a bookstore?

I think it would definitely fit in with sci-fi, paranormal, horror and action/adventure!

I thought that making out with werewolves was "urban fantasy." Horror is a very broad genre, and that is how I described Lost Number as Horror but YA Speculative Fiction would be accurate also (although as precise as mud).

Had an amazing time this last Saturday at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Florida. Some of my friends (and beloved readers <3) and I found an old fashioned Japanese payphone (albeit not as old as the pink model in Lost Number), and reader CleoStarr asked me to pose for some photos!

I'll do my best, but it's dark and humid and there's lots of creepy things in here.

Send Coke Zero and Flipz. They're my writing fuel.

We've got a new logo! A huge shoutout to Erin "Freezy" Gidney for making something that doesn't look like I spent 5min in Photoshop being as lazy as humanly possible.

...because... it's not like... that's what I did before or anything...
