And so we’ve reached the final episode of Ice.
This whole experience is still kind of mind-boggling to me — and I mean that in the best possible way. I started writing the novel roughly seven years ago now, as an exercise for one of my creative writing classes. Had you told me then that it would eventually be adapted into a webcomic (and ultimately fulfill one of my biggest childhood dreams)…I think I would have actually laughed. Or maybe even cried.
I will admit — I’m really sad that Ice wasn’t renewed for another season for the time being. So much happens in the novel and it really can’t be resolved with 50 episodes. But I’m honestly still kind of in awe that I even have the ability to say that.
Being able to watch my characters come to life through such gorgeous artwork has been the most surreal experience. There has been so many phenomenally talented people involved with creating this webcomic (both artistically and editorially) and I’m so very thankful that I had the chance to work with them!
And I’m so beyond grateful for every single one of you!! I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to read this webcomic. It’s honestly been so much fun to read through all the comments and see your reactions — both the good and the bad. It’s so valuable to me and I seriously can’t express how thankful I am. Your support is and always will be endlessly appreciated!!! ♡
