I go by J. Schiek, and I am the creator, author and purveyor of Astronaut Ninja, an ongoing webcomic, chronicling the adventures of Okami, the Astronaut Ninja, and his faithful companion, Space Scorpion. Exiled from his home planet, earth, Okami faces an ever growing list of enemies, including NASA, some pissed off Martians, and even his own twin brother Neko, the Warlock Ninja. Will Okami ever clear his name and return to earth to lead a normal life, or will he forever traverse the vast vasty vastness of space? Well, I update this bitch weekly (Wednesdays), so why don't you hit subscribe and check back to find out? (PS: No matter what you may think of myself or this comic, my mom thinks it's cool and that's all that matters.)
Thanks for following along on Atonement! I hope that you enjoy it. Feel free to let me know your thoughts on new pages as they come out in the comments section, and keep kickin' ass with Astronaut Ninja. It's just a matter of time until your comic starts to get good traction; it's really, very good.
My pleasure! I was really taken aback by the artwork when I first encountered it. That was my first week or so on Tapastic. I really can't express how much your glowing review meant to me. I was by no means ready to throw in the towel, but one of the webcomic troll sites (Bad Webcomics Wiki) discovered my dedicated Astronaut Ninja site (astroninjacomic.com) and nominated me for a scathing review. I've been compared to Dr. McNinja (drmcninja.com) which is worth checking out, if you like my comic; they are very similar, but I hadn't heard of it until I was being compared to it. I'm going to take some time and get caught up on Atonement tomorrow, and if it will help you guys gain more traction, as you so perfectly put it, I'd like to give you guys a plug on my site and Facebook page. Thank you again!
Nah, don't worry about trolls, they just don't get the joke. :p Keep it up! Now that you're doing regular one page updates (instead of a bunch at one time), I think that'll help you get more attention over time.
And I'll always welcome the free promotion! I'm looking forward to the second issue. Hopefully I'll help more folks find your comic over time, too.
I couldn't find you to tag you on the Tapastic forum ... so I'm posting to your wall to let you know that I've selected Astronaut Ninja as part of my March Comic Spotlight! You can read my mini-review here: http://forums.tapastic.com/t/donathins-monthly-comic-spotlight/10620
