Hello Everyone!
I have to be on hiatus for a little while. As many of you know, my mother had been sick for quite some time. However, on September 22, 2024, my mother of 62 died peacefully in her sleep.
She was battling ovarian cancer.
I didn’t say anything at the time, as I wanted to respect her privacy. She was diagnosed a year ago. If I knew how fast and aggressive cancer was, I would have spent a lot more time with her, but I can’t change the past.
My mom was my muse and my first supporters. Most of the characters of Desio Jokoa were inspired by her. Ellis, Ethan (Ross), Erin (Meyer), Mariel, and Carla are a few examples. For starters, the E in their names is from my mom, as her middle name is Elayna. My siblings named their daughters after my mother, based on her middle name. Since I don’t have children, I used the tradition my characters.
It doesn’t end with Desio Jokoa. Lost Enchantment had that too, which I’ll be getting back to writing it once I’m settled.
I’ll be posting Desio Jokoa Chapter 17 Part 2 and participating in Inksgiving, then I’ll be gone. I would still do the fan art, however, I’ll be donating about 25% of my donations to OCRA (Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance) in remembrance of my mother. Till we met again.

I'm so sorry, C.L.G. for your loss! I can't imagine what you've gone through and I'm so sad to hear that she's gone. Take as much time as you need, my friend. Sorry to hear that C.L.G. I am pretty sure your mom was proud of dedication of your character name to honor her. wherever she is now, she is now in a better place. Haven here. I am messaging you because you have been a subscriber of my work in the past, so I am here to provide you with a recent update (this can be seen in my profile for the announcement). Anyway, It has been a while since I came with an update regarding the ongoing hiatus. Safe to say, I am currently editing my works (Silent Whispers - NOW Revnium) as they are in the process of being made (this may take some time as it is exam season)! However, back then quite a few of you have indicated interest towards a discord server being made, so I am here to tell you that there will be one coming soon - hopefully by the end of April (once the exams are over). Possibly some new chapter updates while we are at it!

In October 2023, my mom got sick and needed full attention. I managed to keep Desio Jokoa going, but I need a break to alleviate stress and focus on my mom. Everything is fine, but she still needs attention.
I'm back from my break (I haven't been gone, but I wasn't active much). Anyways, Happy Easter!
