As we all know, I just got back from a 3 month hiatus, but there have been **Setbacks**. Those who have been following me on bluesky may already be aware of what those setbacks are.
First being my physical and mental health.
What's new, right? Is there a webcomic artist out there who doesn't have mental or physical issues? They're unicorns to me.
Second is that my tech is falling apart.
During the hiatus, my desktop gave out.
I had a backup laptop that I used while traveling, but that gave out shortly after.
I got a replacement laptop since then, then my laptop docking station that I use for the multiple HDMI ports died. So I got a new docking station.
This all happened within the span of a month, which I affectionately call Cranebones' June Tech Experience.
Now, I am assuming this brand new laptop's GPU is giving out. I've only had it for two months, but it's decided it does NOT like the docking station (the docking station works fine with other devices) and absolutely hates being connected to external displays. which I need. because my display tablet is LITERALLY AN EXTERNAL DISPLAY. I'll be in the middle of working on a page and the laptop will bluescreen on me and shut down, which then freaks CSP out and corrupt the file I've been working on. Thank god for CSP's auto backup feature.
It's been past 30 days. Can I return this and buy something else? I DON'T KNOW.
I'm trying to figure things out, but having my health and my tech tag team in beating the ever loving bejeezus out of me, it's been hard to actually work on fully rendered comic pages. At this rate, if I can finish Chapter 11 before 2026 is over, I'll call it a win.
I've been doodling a lot, though, and if you aren't already, feel free to check out my bluesky to follow along with the madness. We have fun over there.

As an apology, have a picture of Samsek if he was an archdemon.
