Wisps of thick black smoke or mist was expelled from him through his back and collected into a dense billowing cloud above him. His body spasmed, withered, and shank as it left him turning him into a more normal sized human. When it was done draining from him, what was left was nothing more than dried up, empty, lifeless husk.
Meanwhile the mist finished collecting onto the cloud. The cloud swirled and billowed for a bit afterwards before the center of it condensed into a floating, black, curled up humanoid figure. The remains of the cloud thickened around the figure to become a black swirling robe clothing it. It opened its eyes after the robe finished forming and looked over at me with solid white glowing eyes, unmarred by pupil or iris. The eyes mesmerized me, and I couldn't look away from them even as this, new creature unfurled its body and floated over to me.
By this time, I could feel myself beginning to fade from blood loss as the bleeding from my fresh, open wound. My strength ebb with my awareness and it took all I had just to keep myself from toppling off the altar. Let alone be able to do anything to protect myself or my sisters should something happen.
The only thing I could do was watch helplessly as the creature’s robe moved on it own like living thing to wrap itself around me. It lifted me up off the altar and supported my body as it brought me within arm’s reach of its hovering owner. I continued to stare into the creature’s pure white and unblinking eyes as I was lifted. It was all I could see of its face too as the rest of its head was wrapped tightly narrow strips of thin black cloth.
When I got close enough to it, the creature cupped my chin gently with one of its long fingered, clawed, black hands before drawing me closer. It leaned forward too, and I could feel its lips on mine through the thin cloth covering its mouth. I closed my eyes as it kissed me or that’s what I thought it was doing at first. But then it felt like it was sucking my breath out of my body and I had no strength to resist it. I knew I should have been worried but the amount of blood I had lost made me too cold and too tired to care. So instead of trying to offer some form of feeble resistance, I allowed myself to slip peacefully into unconsciousness.
I was surrounded by darkness when I started to come to and I could taste blood mixed with an unfamiliar sweet flavor. As I roused myself further, the darkness vanished, and I found myself staring into my own eyes from the entity’s point of view. It was a rather surreal feeling to be looking into my own eyes like that, even though they had become dull and unfocused by whatever the creature had done to me.
